Set in beautiful countryside overlooking rugged mountains and turquoise seas, our chalets offer you quality accommodation with complete relaxation assured. Our six board and batten style chalets are scattered across the top of a private landscaped ridge offering all the convenience of a motel but set in breathtaking surroundings. Each chalet is fully self contained, with stunning views across Tasman Bay and the Richmond Ranges. Our two-bedroom chalets sleep 4 comfortably, and one of our 1 bedroom chalets is equipped with a futon to easily accommodate a family of four. At Mapua Chalets, it is our aim to welcome you into our clean relaxed atmosphere. You will find your holiday accommodation is cosy at night and airy by day. Each chalet is fully equipped in a very neat and uncluttered style, with an open plan kitchen, a living room area with heating if required, a private deck area, Satellite TV and wireless internet access. Bedding, towels and some basic essentials are provided. Our Office block also houses a laundry that you are welcome to use should you require. Whether reclining in the spa pool or enjoying a glass of local wine on the deck area the views and distant horizons are impressive. Privacy and relaxation are assured. Therapeutic massage can be booked with our Swiss and Austrian trained masseur. Twenty years of experience enable him to offer you a range of different treatments. |

| Getting There |
We are located off Seaton Valley Road, just off the coastal highway 60, approximately 20 minutes from Nelson airport and 30 minutes from Abel Tasman National Park. How to Get Here: From Nelson, follow state highway 6 through Richmond. At the traffic circle (roundabout), take the third exit (turning to the right) onto state highway 60, the coastal highway following signs to Motueka and Collingwood. Drive for another 15 minutes, for 16 kilometres and turn left onto Seaton Valley Road. Follow Seaton Valley Road for 2.1 kilometres, and turn right at the signs for Mapua Chalets. Follow the unsealed private road for 500 metres, keeping to the left, and following the signs to the Chalets. |

The Nelson region offers SO much to see and do, and with a sunny climate that is the envy of much of New Zealand, it is almost always a good day to get out and about. The Personal Touch We are your hosts, and while we are completely unobstrusive, we are here if you need any help or ideas about activities and excursions. We really do encourage you to make use of our local knowledge. We know how hard it can be knowing what is worthwhile and what is not, especially in unfamiliar territory. As seasoned outdoor education providers, we also offer our guests unique Kayaking, Cycling or Hiking experiences. Just ask and we will be very happy to help. Abel Tasman National Park: Famous for sea kayaking, walking and scenic water-taxi tours to view the stunning bays and wildlife. Kahurangi National Park: From some serious mountain biking, to wild back country hiking ‘tramps’ including ‘The Heaphy Track’ Wine and Art are married together in unique and interesting ways, with many vineyard galleries offering a perfect way to spend a sunny afternoon Nelson Lakes National Park: The two large glacial lakes are the focal point of this park Trout Fishing: The Motueka river and its many tributaries are famous for their world class trout fishing.
