The Sothea, a beautiful eco-chic all-suite five star resort is nestled in the heart of Siem Reap, known for the UNESCO World Heritage Angkor Temples. The resort was built by a business tycoon who is widely respected in the local community as a fitting tribute to his wife on her 50th birthday, which explains the adaptation of her name “Sothea”. With the lady, Sothea in mind the whole property has been created to showcase natural beauty as evident from its landscaping which features intimate gardens, fountains and water accents as well as hints of her Cambodian heritage with Khmer artisanship subtly infused in the architectural and interior design. The inherent feminine values of hospitality, graciousness and warmth have also been used as the driving inspiration for the service standards intended to be applied through out the entire facility. The hotel will be the very first in Cambodia to offer full butler service for each of its suites. The Recreation Zone Dine and Wine The Terrace, is an all day dining restaurant that offers breakfast from sunrise to 10:30 am, Khmer Suites and delicacies to match with flavorful tea selections. The Chatra is a fine dining restaurant which features a collection of Khmer, Asian and International favorites as presented by our award-winning Executive Chef and his team. Flame, the bar, so called because of the room’s main décor - candles which have been floated a good 5 meters away from the floor. With an array of cocktails, mocktails and our “home brews,” treats for the guests, this is the perfect setting for cozy evenings. The Courtyard and The Gallery by The Courtyard The Courtyard is the focal rendezvous area at the resort – where with musical renditions, dance performances, cinematic expressions and artistic interpretations will be displayed. The Spa The Spa offers private treatment rooms, cozy massage areas and beauty stations for a total soulful and physical indulgence. The Rest Zone Gardens and water features transform The Sothea into a refreshing hideaway. It offers thirty nine (39) suites consisting of Deluxe Suites, Queen Suites and King Suites. Interiors have been designed to suit the discerning taste of luxury travelers from the US, UK and the rest of Europe, Japan and other parts of Asia and the Pacific. This is a very spacious spa suite (110-140 sq. m.) Like a Villa, it has its own private garden or a large balcony, a private library, a lounge and bedroom, large bath area and in-suite spa with jacuzzi & 2 treatment beds. A family suite with separate receiving room and a large bedroom. Receiving room can be converted to a child's room for families. No extra charge for extra bed for kids 12 years and below.
