The Hotel & Apartments Borgo Grondaie is built out of an old Tuscan farm just 2 km out of the city centre of Siena. Maintaining its rural and rustic setting, Borgo Grondaie offers you the possibility to choose between hotel and apartment accommodations both furnished in authentic rustic country Tuscan style. All rooms and apartments have air-conditioning, satellite TV, hair dryer. The hotel rooms have also pay-tv and safety box. The four acres that surround the property and the salt water swimming pool will make your holiday unforgettable. The lobby is covered by Wi-Fi so that you can connect to Internet directly from your laptop or use our internet point. |

| Getting There |
How to reach us: - FROM NORTH: highway A1 Milano-Napoli, exit Firenze Certosa, motorway Raccordo Siena-Firenze, exit Siena Nord. Look for signs to 'Stazione' (train station). Keep station on right. Go straight till you find a bridge with metallic arch on your right.Do NOT turn right over bridge with metallic arch. Take immediate next right and pass in front of COOP then swing left behind COOP and follow road to Hotel. - FROM SOUTH: highway A1 Napoli-Milano, exit Valdichiana, follow directions to Siena. Follow the rail station signs that skirt the town until you see the bridge with the metallic arch. Go over that bridge to the right and again turn right into driveway for large store 'COOP'. Follow driveway up hill to hotel behind store. If you arrive by train or bus, we suggest you to take a taxi from the train station. It's only 1 km far from our property and save you hauling luggage upon the hill where we are located. |

| Things To Do |
Our property is 2 km far from the city centre that you can reach by walk (20 minutes), by bus (nearest bus stop 500 meters) or by taxi (about 7 euro one ride). Siena is a good base to explore all Tuscany. With public buses you can visit San Gimignano, Florence and Pisa. To visit the country side of Siena like the Chianti, the Crete, Montalcino, Pienza, Montepulciano, etc. we suggest you to rent a car. Otherwise you can enjoy some half day organized tours in the Chianti and Brunello area which include round trip transportation from Borgo Grondaie, visit of some ancient villages, wine tasting and visit of wine cellars. The cost for each tour is 60 euro per person. |
