Louisa's Cottage is a fine example of later Victorian design retaining the comfortable atmosphere of earlier years. Built in 1884 and classified by the National Trust, Miss Louisa Merridew's residence for 80 years has been tastefully restored to the grace and dignity of her family home whilst offering our guests today's 4 star comfort. Whether you are on a getaway for two, a wonderful week in Hobart with family or friends, or travelling on business, you will find Louisa's Cottage accommodating. Meticulous attention to detail in each bedroom provides a unique experience. We welcome you warmly to Louisa's Cottage with the expectation that your stay will be memorable. Furnished with family antiques, Louisa's is a showcase for elegance and comfort. Amid the colonial treasures, sleep in very comfortable beds, luxuriate under hot showers then indulge in an homemade breakfast and start the day right with tea or a plunger coffee. Check in times are between 2.00pm and 6.00pm. Arrivals outside these hours can be accommodated IF you contact us before confirming your booking and supplying flight #s or other details. Keys are NOT left outside the premises for after hours pick-up. |

| Getting There |
Check in times are between 2.00pm and 6.00pm. Please contact us when making your booking if you need something different. If you are arriving after 6.00pm please advise us of your flight # or other details. For security reasons keys are NOT left outside the property for late arrivals. DRIVING: From the airport head into the city, across the Tasman Bridge and into Davey Street. Take the Sandy Bay Road exit and head down Sandy Bay Road until you reach the King Street intersection Turn Right into King Street and then first left into Grosvenor Street and then first left again into Gregory Street (approx. distance 22km). BUS: Airporter Bus is located outside the Qantas terminal and will drop you off at Louisa's Cottage (approx. cost AU$12.00 one way or AU$24.00 return per adult). TAXI: Will take about 20 minutes to reach Louisa's Cottage from airport (approx. cost AU$45.00). |

Louisa's Cottage is situated in the heart of Sandy Bay, 1 km from the Hobart CBD and a similar distance from the Wrest Point Casino. Hobart's many attractions are within a few minutes easy drive. Leave your car in our off street car park, as you are only around 80 metres from the Sandy Bay shopping precinct, taxi rank or frequent Metro Bus service. |
