Lake Awoonga Caravan Park is the perfect place to enjoy the peace and quiet of a lakeside holiday. The park is located 20 minutes from Gladstone, in a nature reserve. It's home to over 215 species of birds, a vast array of mammals and over 20 varities of fish, making the favourite activity around here fishing - the area is renowned for it's Barramundi. Lake Awoonga Caravan Park offers comfortable and clean accommodation to suit all needs at reasonable rates. Set near the lake, the park has a variety of fully self-contained accommodation including a Family Cabin, Cabins, a Bunkhouse and a Canvas Cabin. This property does have some room types that do not have private ensuites or bathrooms, as indicated in the room type descriptions. |

These ensuite cabins have a master bedroom and a set of bunk beds in a separate area. All linen is provided. Min 3 night stay over long weekends Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $15.00. | Getting There |
From Rockhampton: heading south, stay on the A1/Bruce Hwy until you reach the town of Benaraby, cross the train tracks and turn right onto Awoonga Dam Road, take the third left turn, you will see a sign to the park. From Bundaberg: take the Isis Hwy, turn right onto the Bruce Hwy and head north until you reach Benaraby. Continue until you reach Awoonga Dam Road which is on your left, take this road and continue as outlined above. |
