The Bellaria Relais is situated halfway between Sorrento and Positano, bordering also with the Amalfi Coast. It is situated in an enchanted place surrounded by olive trees. The place is characterized by a wholesome air that gives Bellaria its name. The B&B has been renewed in 2008. The Bellaria is located between Sorrento and Positano. So it will be easy for you to reach both towns. The railway station is very close and you can easily take a train which connects Sorrento to Pompei, Ercolano, Napoli and the Vesuvium on a daily basis. Moreover, you can reach Capri and Ischia by hydrofoil boats from Sorrento. 100 m. away, you can bathe in a wonderful swimming pool, visit the ancient castle of the Prince Colonna and walk along the path till the top of the Vico Alvano Mountain from where you can admire the unique beauty of the Amalfi Coast. The Bellaria Relais, with its simple but sophisticated style, will enchant you and it will satisfy your requirements. Positano seems to be standing against the jagged mountain rock face, with many multicoloured houses that seem to be built in a single cluster, all on top of each other. The town is very unique and incredibly attractive, capable of attracting attention to many visitors. It is the kingdom of many flights of little steps, of narrow passageways enlivened and coloured by wonderful shops, lively bars and cafes, and restaurants that specialise in seafood.The "Amalfi Drive" is said to be one of the most spectacular roads in Europe and from Sorrento the winding cliff top road offers breathtaking panoramic views from every bend. Amalfi, now a thriving holiday resort, was once a powerful and prosperous marine republic, and homeland of Flavio Gioia, the inventor of the compass. The beautiful cathedral, stands at the top of steps leading up from the main square, and houses the remains of the patron saint of Amalfi, Saint Andrew.RAVELLO Ravello was an important town of the Maritime Republic of Amalfi, an important trading power in the Mediterranean between 839 and around 1200. Villa Rufolo (1270), built by Nicola Rufolo, one of the richest men of Ravello, on a ledge and it has become a famous attraction for thousands of visitors. The villa was mentioned by Giovanni Boccaccio in his Decameron and it is the place where Richard Wagner in 1880 was inspired for the stage design of his opera Parsifal |
