The Chieftain Hotel located in Squamish BC, only 30 minutes between Vancouver and Whistler. From Horsehoe Bay take Highway 99 north towards Whistler - apprximately 45 minutes to Squamish. From Vancouver International Airport: Take Granville Street towards downtown Vancouver, turn left onto Smythe, then right onto Burrard Street then left on Georgia. Cross the Lion's Gate Bridge to Highway 1 north towards Whistler. Highway 1 become Hwy 99 to Whistler, 45 minutes to Squamish. |

Squamish, BC is known as The Outdoor Recreation Capital of Canada™. Located on Highway 99 (a one hour scenic drive from Vancouver), you will find Squamish filled with breathtaking views and a wide variety of outdoor activities ranging from: windsurfing, mountain biking, scuba-diving, hiking, golfing, fishing, and well known for some of the best rock climbing in North America. Shannon Falls British Columbia Shannon Falls Provincial Park offers a boardwalk nearby giving you a breathtaking view of the third highest waterfall in British Columbia, a popular picnic destination with picnic tables located along Shannon Creek and the Loggers Sports Field. The park is along the Sea-to-Sky Coastal Highway on the east side of Highway 99, just south of Stawamus Chief Mountain. Brackendale Eagles Brackendale is the destination for eagle viewing. Through November to mid February, thousands of eagles can be viewed. The town of Brackendale is just north of Squamish, and eagle viewing takes place from the Tenderfoot Creek Fish hatchery in the Cheakamus Valley. This town is well known for the largest gathering of bald eagles in North America. Stawamus Chief Provincial Park Visit the second largest granite monolith in the world, Stawamus Chief at 650 metres, with surrounding cliffs and offering a spectacular view. Stawamus Chief is known for one of the best rock climbing opportunities in North America. Hiking trails are also offered with astonishing views of the mountains, Howe Sound, and Squamish - located adjacent to Shannon Falls Provincial Park at Squamish, B.C.
