Set above Big Manly Beach with spectacular seaviews and adjacent to Manly Palms village with its excellent selection of shops and 5 restaurants. Whangaparaoa boasts 12 uncrowded, sandy beaches, ("Whangaparaoa" means Whale Bay - Dolphins, Whales & Orcas are sometimes spotted close to shore),3 golf courses, beach walks around rocks to the next beach and beyond. Trek through the bush and fields of Shakespear National Park to a summit lookout overlooking Hauraki Gulf to Great Barrier Island & Coromandel Peninsula. Catch a ferry from Gulf Harbour to world renowned bird sanctuary Tiritiri Matangi or Kawau Island or Queen Street, Auckland. Ferries from Auckland to Waiheke Island, Grt Barrier & Coromandel - or Hop On Hop Off Cruises of Auckland Harbour's points of interest.
