Getting There Thredbo Village is approximately a 5? hour drive from Sydney or 2? hour drive from Canberra. Coach transport is available during the winter months with a limited service in summer.

By car: Thredbo is five or six hours drive from Sydney, and seven hours from Melbourne.

By air: The nearest commercial airport is at Cooma, 85 km from Thredbo. Cooma Airport is served by Aeropelican Airlines. Transfers or car hire are available from Cooma Airport.

By bus: Murray, Transborder and Greyhound Coaches operate a coach service from Sydney to Thredbo via Canberra during winter.
Parking There is no onsite parking at the lodge. You can drive directly to the lodge to unload your luggage and then park yourcar in one of the four overnight, free of charge, designated parking areas.
Things To Do Skiing and boarding during winter months, mountain biking, fishing, bush walking, swimming, golf, tennis and bobsled during summer months. There are many other attractions that bring people to visit Thredbo Village outside of the abovementioned activities. In November the annual Snowy Ride, where approximately 3,000 motor bike riders come to the village as a fund raiser for the Children's Cancer Foundation. At the beginning of January there is the Blues Festival, where many well known rock bands and artists come to perform. The country music festival is held in March, with a great line up of australian and international artists. Then in May the Jazz festival brightens up the village, with live music and wine tastings throughout the whole weekend.
