Lub d Etymology: Thai Meaning: Sleep well The newly opened hostel is designed by one of the most regarded hotel designers in Thailand. It offers eight-bed dormitories, ladies-only dormitories, and private dormitories for 1-2 people, as well as normal double bed hotel rooms with a private bathroom. Facilities in the hostel are superbly clean, the rooms are comfortable, and the atmosphere is friendly and fun. The safety features of the hostel is also among the best in the business, with keycard access to each room and the residential area; every floor is equipped with smoke detectors, fire alarms, fire distinguishers, and close circuit TVs. This is the perfect place for travelers who are looking for a high quality budget accommodation with a friendly & relax atmosphere. The hostel offers its guests with all the basic needs of today’s travelers. There are free internet facilities, laundry room, and luggage storage available; and modern bathroom, hot shower, bathroom amenities on every floor; as well as free WIFI access, air conditioning, and clean bed linens in every room. Breakfast, snacks and beverages are also available at the bar in a large and colorful common area that services from early morning until midnight. DECHO ROAD Decho Road is in Silom area. Normally, 'Decho Road' is quite well known for locals, most of taxi drivers should know it. (Based on our experience 9 out of 10 knows this road.) Decho is very small and short so it does look like a soi (sub-street) but it's a road! It's located between Silom Soi 12 and Soi 14. Great map for Decho Road, check www.yellow.co.th and enter 'Decho Road' FROM BANGKOK SUVARNABHUMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (reading 'Soo-wan-na-poom') There are two convenient ways to Lub d: -- SHUTTLE BUS TO SILOM: Airport Express operates 4 different bus routes to downtown Bangkok. To get to Lub d, please take the 'AE1' bus to Sofitel Silom Hotel, and walk to Decho road. Within 5 minutes, you'll arrive at Lub d. The cost is 150 baht for the entire route. Airport Express service operates from 5:00 am to midnight 7 days a week. For more details go to the Airport Express Counter Level 1, near Entrance 8. -- PUBLIC METERED TAXI: Can be found on Level 1, near Entrance no. 3, 4, 5, 7, and 8. Ask the taxi to go to 'Lub d Hostel on Decho road, Silom' (Read more about taxi fare below) Get instructions for taxi in Thai in the photo section of 'Info & Rates' tab.
