Set amongst native Eucalypts, each pavilion has been handcrafted from the finest imported and local timber and stone. From one bedroom freestanding pavilions to the privacy of a secluded retreat, qualia offers two types of accommodation to suit your individual taste. The 60 spacious one bedroom freestanding pavilions (Leeward and Windward) provide an indulgent space to relax in and unwind, with either a sundeck or private infinity edge plunge pool. Inside qualia, you can feel time unravel however you choose. Facilities include two serene pools, a library, private dining room, two bars and restaurants, and a fitness centre. And for that truly memorable experience step inside Spa qualia, which offers an extensive range of luxurious local and international treatments. For those with a more adventurous spirit, the Great Barrier Reef is the perfect place to make some unexpected discoveries. Head off on a diving or snorkelling adventure, or marvel at the wondrous diversity of underwater life on a reef tour. There are also all manner of water sports to pursue. Or, why not charter the services of a yacht and cruise the Whitsundays, unwind on the pristine sands of Whitehaven Beach, or take a bird’s eye view on a private, scenic helicopter flight? There are many ways to complement a stay at qualia to make it unforgettable. For a truly sensory experience, Spa qualia is a must. Ideally situated at the centre of the resort to catch the soft sea breeze and take in the tranquil views of the Whitsundays, the spa is the perfect place in which to indulge and unwind. Spa qualia offers the ultimate in anti-stress, anti-ageing, detoxifying and cleansing treatments. It makes use of international organic product ranges from Phyts and Eminence, as well as traditional hot stone massage with ancient ‘Bularri Yarrul’ stones, and chakra-therapy sessions using a range of Australian essential oils from Anoint. Spa qualia is an all-encompassing, sensual experience with facilities including Roman baths, an invigorating Swiss shower, a steam room along with an open air yoga and meditation pavilion. |

Windward Pavilion
The north-facing Windward Pavilions give expansive views of the Coral Sea and Whitsundays. The beautifully appointed pavilions feature a living room, separate bedroom with a king bed, ensuite and offer the added indulgence of a private plunge pool. Rates are for 2 people. | Getting There |
qualia is situated on the secluded northern-most tip of Hamilton Island. AIR: - JetStar Airlines have daily direct return services to Hamilton Island from Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane. - Virgin Blue fly have daily direct services from Brisbane and Sydney. - Qantas have a daily direct flight from Cairns. BY BOAT: - In the comfort of high-speed air-conditioned catamarans, Blue Ferries allow you to really relax during your trip from Shute Harbour on Australia's mainland to Hamilton Island. All Blue Ferries arrivals are met by qualia staff at Hamilton Island's Marina and transferred to their accommodation. - A direct launch from Shute Harbour to Hamilton Island takes 35 minutes. A launch from Shute Harbour to Hamilton Island via South Molle and Daydream islands will take one hour. Tickets can be purchased from Jilly's at the jetty in Shute Harbour before you board the launch. Last service 4.30pm. ROAD: - Travelling from Proserpine to Shute Harbour some indicative distances and times are: Proserpine Airport to Shute Harbour 55km 50 minutes, Proserpine to Shute Harbour 45km - Travelling from the North to the Whitsundays some indicative distances and times are: Brisbane to the Whitsundays 1092km 13½ hours Rockhampton to the Whitsundays 498km 6½ hours Mackay to the Whitsundays 150km 1½ hours - Travelling from South to the Whitsundays some indicative distances and times are: Bowen to the Whitsundays 91km 1 hour Townsville to the Whitsundays 314km 3 hours Cairns to the Whitsundays 633km 8 hours - Shute Harbour has a security car parking station where you can leave your car for a small daily cost. - Boat launches from Shute Harbour to Hamilton Island are as noted above. |

Designed by five-times British Open winner Peter Thomson, the 18-hole championship golf course is on par with Australia’s top golfing destinations for its design, location and facilities and features unparalleled views of the Whitsundays and the surrounding Great Barrier Reef. Hamilton Island Yacht Club is an exclusive port of call for visitors docking in the Hamilton Island Marina. The state-of-the-art yacht club will feature recreational and business facilities including a contemporary restaurant and bar which overlooks the marina, a private dining room, conference and function rooms overlooking Dent Passage and an inspiring central atrium space for events. |
