In the Southern Highlands (part of the Illawarra Region), is Peppers Manor House, a grand country estate with its very own Golf and Country Club. Peppers Manor House is set on a beautiful Southern Highlands estate and provides an experience of life and leisure at a grand country house. The forty-one uniquely styled rooms and suites are elegantly furnished and offer views of the estate and golf course. Built in 1926, the house was originally home to the Katers, a pioneering grazing family, and has retained its original country charm. During winter, an open fire burns continually in the Great Hall. And in summer, meals are served in a leafy courtyard, with drinks by the pool. "Katers" Restaurant offers fine dining with modern Australian cuisine highlighting the freshest produce from the NSW Southern Highlands region. An award winning restaurant, with the Sydney Morning Herald good food guide 2009 awarding a Chef's Hat. Activities at Peppers Manor House include a massage and beauty salon, swimming pool, tennis court and the 18-hole, Scottish-style Mount Broughton Golf Course. The surrounding area has something for everyone, including horse riding, mountain biking, trout fishing, historic villages, antique shopping or winery tours. For a more relaxed experience, breathe in the fresh highland air as you stroll through the magnificent gardens, or relax in comfort at one of our bars or lounges. Our Garden Wing rooms are located adjacent to the main Manor House and are decorated in a classical country style. Our rooms features either garden or rural views. Bedding configuration may change - subject to availability. Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $66.00. Peppers Manor House Southern Highlands is located approximately a one and a half hour drive southwest of Sydney, towards Canberra. Simply take the Mittagong exit, continue to Bowral, through to Moss Vale and we are 4km south. |
