Welcome to Omeo Snug as a Bug Motel Find us In the heart of Omeo AAA rated 3½ stars on both styles of accommodation we have to offer. Omeo is steeped in history, Snug as a Bug Motel and Guest house are some of the most delightful buildings in Omeo, all being over 100 years old. We have four guest rooms located in the Guest House, all with their own ensuites. These rooms share a guest lounge room and complete kitchen for those who wish to cater for themselves. Our four motel units are set in a restored 1906 Homestead. There are no cooking facilities in the rooms but we do have outdoor kitchen cooking under the veranda. |

| Getting There |
Please note if using GPS set to corner Great Alpine Road and Creek Street Omeo, To get to Omeo Snug as a Bug Motel from Bright (approximately 150km away), follow the signs to B500 Great Alpine Road and Mt. Hotham. Once on the Great Alpine Road, keep following until Omeo. On Entering Omeo you will see Snug as a Bug Motel on the left hand side on the corner of Creek Street and Great Alpine Road. It is approximately 1 ¾-2 hours drive to Omeo from Bright. If coming From Bairnsdale on the Princess Highway (approximately 130km away from Omeo), follow the Princess Highway out of Bairnsdale. At the roundabout take the Omeo turnoff and follow the signs to Bruthen. Turn left and follow the road to Omeo and Great Alpine Road Sign B500. Keep going until Omeo, turn left into the main street (still following Great Alpine Road Sign). You will find us on the right, on the corner of Creek Street and Great Alpine Road. If using GPS, set it to corner Great Alpine Road and Creek Street and it will lead you right to our door. A local bus service operates between Bairnsdale and Omeo which meets the train from Melbourne (Mon to Fri only) and will drop you off at our door. |
