Experience the mystical beauty of the Glasshouse Mountains at Glass on Glasshouse. If you need to get away to somewhere beautiful – and spoil yourself by staying in a cottage that you won't want to leave – this is the place. The secluded cottages are set in a 20 acre mango orchard fringed by graceful tall trees, and surrounded by farms and forestry plantations. Wild Kangaroos travel through the property and you can bask in the fantastic views of the Glasshouse Mountains. Our beautiful and modern architect-designed self-contained cottages feature floor-to-ceiling glass with wonderful Mountain views. The bedroom features a comfortable King-size bed (or two singles if requested) and the centrepiece of the bathroom is a gorgeous freestanding spa bath. For those romantic winter nights there’s a beautiful two-sided eco-smart fire, which can be experienced from the bathroom as well as the lounge. If you feel like cooking there’s a kitchenette with microwave, fridge, Smeg hot plates and a dishwasher and then there’s a BBQ on the large deck where you can sit and watch the kangaroos, or listen to the sounds of the Kookaburras and Black Cockatoos. For entertainment the cottages also offer Internet access and have a Blu-Ray DVD player, high definition LCD TV and a HiFi system with an iPod dock. For your comfort there’s reverse cycle air-conditioning/heating. Washing and drying facilities are also available. Marvel at the myriad of wildlife sounds at night, count the millions of stars, relax on the large deck, take an indulgent spa, listen to the rustling of the leaves in the trees and become closer to nature. An ideal place to escape for those who just need to relax. A daily breakfast basket is included. We also have an onsite café which is open 6 days (not Tuesday) and has a tasty menu of home-baked lunches and cakes as well as locally grown coffee, and is an open setting with great views of the mango orchard where the kangaroos usually sleep. These contemporary cottages are mainly for couples, though there is a sofa bed in the lounge for a third person if needed ($70/night extra). We can accommodate infants in cots, but the property isn’t suitable for young children (1-8 years old). Unfortunately, because there’s a lot of local wildlife pets aren’t allowed. Please note that the cottages are non-smoking inside. |

Please check in at the Lookout Café at 182 Glasshouse-Woodford Road (open 6 days 10.00-4.00, not Tuesdays). If closed, ring us on 0431 101208 when you get to the entrance. We take a pre-authorisation of your credit card of $500 as a security deposit. |

| Getting There |
If coming from the direction of Brisbane: Stay on the M1 (Bruce Hwy) until you see a sign for the scenic route to Glasshouse Mountains and Beerwah (Scenic Route 24, Steve Irwin Way), and take this turnoff. After about 4km turn left into Beerburrum, go through the village, and then take the first road on the right (Beerburrum-Woodford Road). It's also signposted for the scenic lookout. Keep on this road for about 4km until you come to a fork in the road and take the right hand fork (this is Old Gympie Road, also signposted for the scenic lookout). Keep on this road for about 2km. Then take the first road on the left, which is Glasshouse-Woodford Road (also signposted for the scenic lookout). We're about 2km up this road, our entrance is immediately after the Lookout Cafe. If coming from the North: From the M1 (Bruce Hwy), after the turnoff for Caloundra take the turnoff for the scenic route to Glasshouse Mountains, Landsborough and Beerwah (Scenic Route 24, "Steve Irwin Way"). Stay on this for about 20 minutes. You'll go past the Big Kart track and Australia Zoo. Take the right turn into Glasshouse Mountains and follow the road around to the left (don't turn right into the town centre). Go over the bridge and follow the road around to the left. Keep on this road a few kilometres until you reach a T-intersection. Turn left onto Old Gympie Road. Stay on this for a few kilometres. You don't take the first road on the right which goes to Mt.Beerwah, instead you keep going and then you take the second road on the right, which is our road, Glasshouse-Woodford Rpad (also signposted for the scenic lookout). We're about 2km up this road, at the Lookout Cafe. |

The most famous attraction is Australia Zoo – just 10 minutes away. Other attractions are 25 to 60 minutes away, such as: - The beaches of Caloundra - Heading North, also in the hinterland, are the charming towns of Maleny and Mapleton, and a bit further the famous markets of Eumundi. - Why not take a trip to Metropolitan Noosa? - Go strawberry picking from June-November at one of the local self-pick farms - Do some walks in the Glasshouse Mountains - For the ultimate experience you can silently glide over the Glasshouse Mountains in a balloon flight - Let your creativity and sense of adventure flow – The Glasshouse Mountains are the most famous natural attraction, for artists, walkers, climbers and photographers |
