A stunning setting awaits you complete with landscaped gardens surrounding three private cottages, each with it’s own unique decor, a private forest with an established walk and the sights and sounds of nature at your doorstep. | Getting There |
There are multiple ways to arrive at Eagle Hammer, which is located on Melway reference 125 D5. Either from Melbourne or the Airport, you can come via the Monash, the Eastern Freeway, Burwood Highway or Canterbury Roads. Please note that Satellite Navigations systems will be great to get you close to Eagle Hammer, but do check them against either the directions as they do not always bring you in the “best way”. Monash Freeway via Emerald: Follow the Monash and exit at Wellington Road, follow this all the way towards Emerald. At the round about (landmark is The Paradise hotel at Clematis) and turn right towards Emerald. In Emerald turn left at the third roundabout towards Monbulk. Old Emerald Road is 4.6kms on your right from the Emerald roundabout. Eastern Freeway via Montrose: Using the Eastern Freeway continue onto the Eastlink & exit at the Ringwood Bypass onto Mount Dandenong Road heading towards Montrose. At Canterbury & Swansea Road intersection turn left. At the York Road roundabout turn right towards Mount Evelyn and Silvan. Follow this road through Mount Evelyn & Silvan passing Tesselaar and other growers and the Silvan Reservoir. Turn left into Old Emerald Road. If you wish to minimise the time on gravel road continue to Monbulk and use the directions below for David Hill Road. Burwood Highway via Belgrave: Follow the Burwood Highway to Belgrave. Keep going through Belgrave & Kallista until you reach Monbulk. Go through the main street and pass Safeway until you reach David Hill Road roundabout. Turn left into David Hill Road, and follow it until the end, and then turn left at the T intersection of Emerald-Monbulk Road. Old Emerald Road is approximately 700 metres on your left. |

| Things To Do |
Many lovely walks are at your doorstep, both on the property or just down the road in Butterfield reserve, plus the many walks in the Dandenong Ranges National Park. You can visit the many nurseries, cafes and gardens in the area. If wineries take your fancy there are quite a few not far from Eagle Hammer which you can drive yourself or have your own personal chauffer. You are minutes from the famous Puffing Billy Steam Train and Emerald Lake. In house massages can be arranged for either one of you, or enjoy a couples massage together. And best of all you can just hide away in the cottage whilst enjoying the greenery and watching & listening to the birds & frogs. There are some nice restaurants just a short drive from Eagle Hammer. If you don’t fancy going out, you can order in from menu’s in the cottage, or arrange a gourmet hamper to be delivered to your cottage (3 days notice is required for hampers). |
