Secure access to the complex means you can leave your car parked right beside your unit without a worry. Individual comfort is also enhanced with superior bed linen and luxury towels. The apartments are in easy walking distance to the main Scone shopping areas which include Coles, all the major banks, post office, a bottle shop, Civic Video and much more. There are a number of local cafes and country pubs close by for all of your eating out requirements. Portman House serviced apartments are conveniently situated close to many of Australia's best known horse studs, mining areas and the beautiful wine region of the Upper Hunter Valley. |

Directions from Sydney: By road the distance from Sydney to Portman House is approximately 282kms which will take you about 3.5 hours. Directions from Brisbane: By road the distance from Brisbane to Portman House is aproximately 700kms which will take you about 9.25 hours. Access by car: Turn into Kingdon Street then right into rear of Scone Village Shopping Centre. Continue 50 metres, Portman House car access is on your right. Access by foot: Approaching Portman House from the south, pedestrian access on Kelly Street is next to Define Style Boutique. |

| Things To Do |
Visit Burning Mountain Nature Reserve 20 km north of Scone on the New England Highway. It has a burning coal seam thought to have been alight for more than 5,000 years. Have a picnic at Lake Glenbawn. The lake stretches from the dam wall far back into the foothills of the Mt Royal Range. The Scone and Upper Hunter Horse Festival in May is the town’s biggest event. It begins with a street parade, followed by a jam-packed two weeks of thoroughbred sales, art shows, rodeos, country fairs, family fun days, fireworks, campdrafts and The Scone Cup race carnival. Explore the natural beauty of the nearby Barrington Tops National Park. Visit the vineyards of the beautiful Hunter Valley. |
