The KiiKii is a traditional Cook Islands name for "A Royal Necklace" - used in ancient Chiefly Investitures of High Ranks. The KiiKii Motel is locally owned and operated and as with our tradition we know how to welcome you as our quest to our home and to the Cook Islands. This is your "home away from home. KiiKii Motel is situated on the north-eastern side of Rarotonga with fantastic views of the Pacific Ocean and the mountains on the Island of Rarotonga. We are also ideally located, within walking distance of downtown Avarua, shopping, restaurants and attractions. Choose from 18 spacious rooms, from KiiKii Family Rooms, Garden View Rooms, Oceanview Rooms and our popular beachfront studio bungalows to Muri-Avai Beach Bungalows. All rooms have fully equipped kitchens and separate bathroom facilities. The Standard family rooms have separate bedrooms. The main hotel complex is where the office is situated, swimming pool, a mini conference/games room and barbecue area. The Front Office closes at 9pm daily but there is a live in caretaker who is available after hours for emergencies. Sightseeing tours, rental cars and scooters can be arranged at the Front Office during office hours. The popular "Round the Island" bus stops at the front entrance door of the KiiKii Motel Office. Our popular beachfront bungalows - Muri-Avai Beach Bungalows are located 10 km from the KiiKii Motel. The Muri Avai Beach Bungalows are located directly on an absolutely beautiful white sand beach on the western side of the island in a village called Arorangi meaning "Look to the sky". Aptly named by our ancestors, Arorangi enjoys fantastic sunsets with an awesome display of the colours red, yellow and orange in the sky. As the bungalows are located 10kms away from the motel, all guests are required to have airport transfer arrangement. The cost is NZ15 per person. You will be met at the airport and transfered directly to the bungalow. KiiKii Motel and Muri Avai Beach Bungalows have easy access to the bus route, beaches, town area and also restaurants, cafes, shops and other attractions. Each room type has telephone access. |

Muri Avai Beach Bungalows
Muri Avai Beach Bungalows are absolute beachfront studio bungalows with an open plan lounge, dining room and full kitchen. BBQ available. Excellent views with beautiful sunsets. Located 10kms away from motel complex. Not suitable for children. Rates are for 2 people. The room caters for a maximum of 2 adults. The following bedding is provided:

| Getting There |
On arrival at the Rarotonga International Airport, you can either take a taxi or rental vehicle to KiiKii Motel. The cost for the taxi is approximately between NZ$20.00 to NZ$30.00. If you would like us to arrange your airport transfers, please do let us know your flight details so that we can arrange your meet and greet. There is a small fee charged for this service. We can also organise airport transfers for you at the cost of between NZ$15 to NZ$20 per person for a one way airport transfer. Please do let us know your flight number and arrival details at time of booking. All bookings for Muri Avai Beach Bungalow are required to book airport transfers. The cost is NZ$15 per person. You will be met at the airport and transfered directly to the bungalow. If you are driving yourself, KiiKii Motel is located 8 minutes from the Rarotonga Airport. Take a right at the Airport exit gate and you will be on the main road on the island. Just continue along this road for approximately 5km and you will find us. |
