You can enjoy the stunning sights of the New England region, or relax and indulge in simple pleasures like sinking into the leather lounge by the fire with a hot chocolate, enjoying your favourite movie or music. Forget about B&B's where you feel you are visitor in a stranger's home. Top of the Range Retreat is your very own private accommodation. The cottage is beautifully appointed, polished wooden floors and feature walls that will provide a warm welcome in winter and cool retreat in summer. Two slow combustion wood fires and a reverse cycle air-conditioner ensure you're accommodation is comfortable all year round. Combining traditional styles and tones with very modern conveniences, the accommodation has every thing you desire for a luxurious retreat. Sooth away your tensions in the two person spa; be warmed and rejuvenated in the sauna. The master bedroom features a DVD television and ensuite bathroom, the second bedroom has a romantic four poster bed, a day bed and a roller-way, so the accommodation can accommodate up to six people. The second bathroom contains two person spa. The ambient atmosphere of the dining room is perfect for a romantic candle-lit evening. Or why not relax in the leather lounge with a nice hot chocolate by the fire enjoying your favourite movie on the plasma TV? Your home away from home. Park your car under the carport, put your feet up and make yourself at home! Have your friends visit and cook up a storm on the bbq and enjoy the sundeck area. |

| Getting There |
We are located midway between Sydney and Brisbane on the New England Hwy or a few hours west from the coast of Coffs Harbour, with a pleasant drive along the Waterfall Way (voted one of the best drives in Australia). Only 25min North of Armidale and 35min South of Glen Innes. Take the Inverell turn off from the New England Hwy, drive 400 metres and you'll find us on the right hand side. |

| Things To Do |
We are in the heart of Guyra which is a small thriving town high in the New England Region. It is just a short stroll from your accommodation to the shops and cafes of Guyra's main street, and an excellent base from which to explore the New England region. Within the New England area you can find a unique and diverse blend of recreational activities and facilities, from trout fishing, horse riding, bird watching, bush walks through our beautiful National Parks and Reserves, Museums, scenic picnic areas and local parks. Other Tourist Attractions include Guyra's 18 hole golf course & bowling club (Highest in Austrila), Malpas Dam, Tingha/Copeton Recreation Reserve (eastern foreshores of Lake Copeton), Guy Fawkes River National Park - Ebor Falls, Cathedral Rock National Park, Moredun Dam, Green Valley Farm, Mother of Ducks Lagoon, Llangothlin Lagoon Wildlife Refuge and Little Llangothlin Nature Reserve, Mushroom Rock, Trout Fishing, Bush Walking, Bird Watching, Holiday Farms, Historical Sites, Fossicking, Historic Black Mountain and Ben Lomond Railway Stations, Historical Museum, Arts and Crafts, Antique Farm Machinery at Guyra Railway Station. The Guyra area is famous for its prime lambs, wool, beef, potatoes and 'blush' tomatoes. Guyra boasts the largest glass house in Aust). The annual Guyra Lamb and Potato Festival is held in late January every year. Take a short stroll to the Main Street and experience Guyra's must-see shops, quality homewares to high fashion stores, there is somthing for everyone! A must-do is a visit to award winning Rafters Reasturant for a fine dining experience. Why not take a drive and call into one of the celler doors and awaken your palate to "cool climate" wines. Break your trip on the way to the Tamworth Music Festival and enjoy the cool mountain air. On your way to Glen Innes for one of there events, Gourmet in the Glen, Land of the Beardies Festival, Celtic Festival? Hard to find accommodation there? We would love to have your company! You will love to see and enjoy the four distinctive seasons. Summer in mild and inviting. Autumn and spring display a riot of spectacular colour. Winter is invigorating and exciting with the prospects of snow! What better time of year for a romantic weekend - or week - away than winter? Snuggling by an open fire, glass of wine in hand, just you and the one you love. Scenic Drives There are number of spectacular scenic drives designed to help you explore the beautiful New England. Two Exemples are; Drive 17 - The best of the New England. This 245 km drive includes Gara Gorge, Hillgrove, Wollomombi Gorge New England National Park, Trout Hatchery, Cathedral Rock National Park, Ebor Falls and Guyra. Scenic Drive 19 - Culture Wilderness & Heritage. This 86 km drive includes the New England Regional Art Musuem, the Aboriginal Cultural Centre, Dangars Gorge, Gostwyk Chapel, Uralla and Saumarez Homestead. Alternativatly, if you don't want to drive everywhere, take a spectacular helecoptor flight with Fleet Helicopters. Operating from Armidale airport, Fleet Helicopters provide a variety of tours for the adventurer. Flight of the Six Gorges - approx 60 minutes - One of our pilots favourite flights, the trip explores some of the most spectacular and rugged gorges in Australia. Gorge Discovery Tour - appox 30 minutes - a great introduction to gorge flying. West Kunderang Wilderness Adventure - starting at 3 hours - Possibly the best gorge experience available. Heli-fishing, Heli-adventure transport or tailor a flight for sunset, sunrise, weddings or special events. |
