A family property of three generations, Hawley House, her Stables and the Vineyard Pavilion are one with her peacock lawns, water gardens, the sandy beaches and the Narawntapu National Park beyond. Hawley unashamedly embraces the patina created by her 130 year history, and the idiosyncrasies of being a family home. Hawley House is the original homestead of the 150 hectare working estate which sustains a substantial vineyard and an extensive and comprehensive wildlife reserve. Guests stay in a wide range of spacious and individually appointed rooms, all with en suite bathrooms and breathtaking views, eclectic original artworks and furnishings. Homegrown produce is served in the dining room each day which hosts Weddings and business functions for up to 150 guests. The dining room is open most nights subject to sufficient demand (dinner service not guaranteed). A recommended alternative is Hawley's sister property, the Gingerbread House which is located 15 minutes drive away, which serves an extensive a la carte menu Wednesday-Sunday for lunch and dinner. A $10 voucher towards meals at the Gingerbread House is included in your room tariff. Hawley is animal friendly. Pets are welcome by arrangement. Hawley is the quintessential Tasmanian experience. |

Directions to Hawley House - We are located on the esplanade at Hawley Beach. Hawley Beach is 1 hour west of Launceston and 20 minutes east of Devonport, 15 minutes from the Spirit of Tasmania terminal. The easiest point to navigate to on a map is Port Sorell. Once you reach the roundabout at Port Sorell, take the Hawley Beach turn and follow this for 4km around the beachfront. Our driveway is at the end of the road, past all the waterfront houses. |
