The Gables Motor Lodge has a superb location right opposite the swimming beach on the shores of Lake Taupo. We are only 1.2 km’s from the centre of Taupo shopping and business centre, where you will find, great cafes, superb restaurants, sports facilities and extreme sports locations that will blow your mind. Ask your hosts Pete and Chrissie, and they will assist you to your style, of spending your time in beautiful Taupo. The Gables Motor Lodge has affordable, 12 spacious one bedroom units with their own private hot pool, plus 2 x 2 bedroom spacious family units and 1 x 3 bedroom spacious unit which share a large family hot pool adjacent to the units. We are pet friendly and have plenty of off street parking and one of the largest lake front vistas over the lake and mountains in Taupo. Lake Taupo, the southern hemisphere’s biggest inland lake is a beautiful gem in New Zealand’s crown with great fishing, hunting, skiing, and other sports all year round. 2 bedrooms upstairs, bedroom one has 1 x double bed and 1 x single bed, bedroom two has 1 x double bed and 2 x single beds. Downstairs off the lounge is the 3rd bedroom with 1 double and 2 singles. Downstairs also is the bathroom and full kitchen. Rates are for 4 people. Extra adults $20.00. Extra children $20.00. The room caters for a maximum of 11 adults, and a maximum of 10 children but cannot exceed 11 guests in total. The following bedding is provided:

FAMILY FUN: Plenty of water sports, visit Lilliput Farm, Off road NZ, Huka Prawn Park. ULTIMATE THRILLS: Tandem skydive, a bungy jump or a ride on the Huka Jet up to Huka Falls. Parasailing, white water rafting, quad biking and of course in winter skiing on Mt.Ruapehu. SIGHTSEEING: Helicopter sightseeing around Taupo or over the National Park. Scenic Flights on our local float plane. Take a trip on a steamboat or a 50ft Yacht around Lake Taupo. Visit Huka Falls, Aratiatia Dam, Craters of the Moon thermal area or the Great Lake itself. RECREATIONAL: Fly fishing either with an experienced guide or on your own. Fishing from a boat on Lake Taupo. A round of golf at one of the 3 golf courses. Mountain Biking, Tramping the Tongariro crossing, SWIMMING: Lake Taupo’s good swimming beach is just 100 metres from your front door. 5 minutes drive away we have Taupo Hot Springs - Hot Mineral and Fresh Water Pools. RELAXING: A stroll around some of Taupo’s lovely lake walkways, or the botanical gardens. A wander through the lake Taupo Museum and Art Gallery. Enjoy a massage at one of our local beauty clinics. DINING: Enjoy a cultural visit to Wairakei Terraces, or take time out at so many of our local restaurants and cafes, plenty to suit all taste buds. Rotorua, Waitomo Caves, or the Hawkes Bay are just a day trip away. |
