Sixbeds is a restored apartment of 3 rooms (2 doubles and 1 single). A kitchen is available with electric kettle, tea, coffee and tisane facilities, fridge and microwave oven. Bathroom is shared, and has bathtub/shower, hair dryer, shampoo, soap and bath foam included. All rooms are provided with fire alarm (smoke and heater sensors), fan and safety box. Position: 10 min. to walk to the Coliseum and to the Termini Railway Station. Our door is just in front of the subway station "Vittorio Emanuele" (linea A), and this means that you can reach e.g. Piazza di Spagna, or Vatican, in a few minutes. Our philosophy is to offer essential only, so to save guests' money and time. This means: excellent and very well linked position, excellent mattresses, very cared daily cleanliness, hypo allergenic natural towels and linen, minimalist and styled furniture (because beauty is a fundamental need of human being), safety box; but no TV, no reception, no air conditioning. Instead we offer double glazed windows and a building that is fresh even in summer, fan in every room, a good heater system, a lot of information at the check-in, free maps, books and tourist guides (we are an International Bookcrossing Zone), 24 hrs assistance over the phone, tours. Rate includes Italian breakfast (cappuccino and croissant) that guests enjoy, like common inhabitants, at the bar immediately close to the entrance door, any time they like, changing towels every 2 days and linen every 3, city maps, use of our little guide-books library, personal safety box use in every room, and the "Sixbeds Card" allowing discounts and happy hour in some restaurants and shops in the area. We also organize underground tours (catacombs, hidden Rome, ancient roman houses, Mithras temple, etc.) Surrounding: Sixbeds is very central. It's under the shadow of the Arch of Gallienus (3rd century), a few steps from Santa Maria Maggiore, the Brancaccio theatre, the Opera House and the excellent restaurants Agata and Romeo and Trattoria Monti. Coliseum and Roman Forum is just a walk distant, Spanish Steps, Vatican and Piazza Navona can be reached by subway in few minutes. Lot of shops and restaurants (Italian, but also Indian, Chinese cuisine and fast food). A curiosity: we are so close to the Magic Door of Piazza Vittorio. We speak English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Ukrainian! |

We have no time restrictions, but as long we've not a reception, we need to know at what time you will approximately check-in, so to meet you and give you keys, breakfast vouchers, info, maps, etc. A contact before check-in is mandatory. |

| Getting There |
By car From any state road or Highway, straight to the city centre, pointing to Stazione Termini. Then just turn around Santa Maria Maggiore square, and turn right to Via Carlo Alberto, just to the end. By train All the roads bring to Rome, all train to Stazione Termini. When there, you can walk to Sixbeds (about 10 minutes): take the Station's exit "Giolitti", and get to the square of Santa Maria Maggiore. Leave the church to your back and take the first street in front of you, that is Via Carlo Alberto. We are at the end, right side, just in front of the M of the subway station "Vittorio Emanuele" (nr. 63). By airplane From both Ciampino CPO airport and Fiumicino FCO airport, buses and trains run to Termini Station in about 30 minutes. When there, you can just walk to Sixbeds in 10 minutes. By public transportation If you really don't want to walk, you can use subway (A line) to get out just in front of our entrance door: stop "Vittorio Emanuele", exit "via Carlo Alberto". Can't miss it! |

Parking on-street (city fee 1,00 € per hour from 7:00 am to 6 pm except Sunday). Garage available at 400 meters costs 15,00 € per 24 hrs. |
| Things To Do |
Well guys, you're just in the heart of the Eternal City! Monuments, archaeology, history, beauty, good food, the Pope, fashion and antiques shopping, libraries, museums... I do usually recommend a 4 hours walk (it can be also chunked in two days) from Sixbeds to enjoy a main overview of Rome, and this includes: Arch of Gallienus, Santa Maria Maggiore, Moses by Michelangelo, Coliseum, Platinus, Roman Forum, Capitolium, Piazza Venezia, via del Corso, Trevi Fountain, the Italian Parliament by Bernini, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Campo de' Fiori, the Angels' bridge, Castel Sant'Angelo, Vatican (St. Peter Basilica). The second day can be spent in main museums: Vatican Museums, the 3 National Roman Museums, Galleria Borghese. If you have time, Catacombs and Appian Way (Via Appia Antica), Ostia antica, the Jewish area and Trastevere, Villa Borghese, Tivoli Gardens. And again the beautiful classic art musuems like Palazzo Altemps, Palazzo Spada, Centrale Montemartini, etc. etc. etc. |
