You’ve arrived by water taxi or car, you’ve been to the visitor centre and booked our immersion theatre show called Defiance for tonight, you’ve checked in at reception, you’ve then been taken on our people mover to your room. ... Your room is crisp and fresh and you’ve just discovered the views that overlook Sydney Harbour (Harbour View Rooms). ... You’ve unpacked and you are now sitting on the veranda with your favourite drink, relaxing and unwinding from the hustle and bustle of the day... just enjoying the panorama. ... You're looking forward to the meal you’ve booked at the Boilerhouse Restaurant. ... You’re thinking about the other activities you have lined up. You’ve organised to hire some snorkelling gear from the Visitor Centre. That’s first on your list for tomorrow after you’ve enjoyed breakfast. ... You’re also contemplating going for a walk to North Head a bit later in the day or a little afternoon shopping in Manly. All in all, you’re looking forward to rejuvenating over the next couple of days. As well as the activies listed above, if the weather is inclement, we also have communal lounges to while away an afternoon with a book or a board-game with old friends or new aquaintances. We also have a number of other recreational facilities for you to enjoy. Why not hire a kayak from a local kayak company and see the harbour and North Head from a different perspective. Then, there’s our beach for a relaxing swim. If walking is your thing, there are a number of walks you can do in the Manly area including the famous Manly to Spit Bridge Walk and the North Head Santuary Walks... whether it’s an hour’s stroll or a more strenuous walk, there's something to suit most tastes. Discover, relax and enjoy your Q Station experience! Formally known as Quarantine Station, Q Station is located within Sydney Harbour National Park at North Head. Q Station is a five minute drive from Manly or thirty minutes via ferry from the city. |

Book onto the Q Station 40 Days Tour... 40 Days was the original time people were supposed to be quarantined for. Our 40 Days wonders what would happen if you were quarantined tomorrow. Participants begin by watching an innocent group of Australian tourists returning home face the news that a sick passenger will require them all to go into quarantine. What does this mean in 2008? The group will explore the site from the perspective of passengers from the steamship Niagara, quarantined in the 1920s. They will enter the Niagara’s cabins and occasionally take on the identity of a former passenger to reveal whether the way people used to be quarantined is appropriate today. This is an experience full of twists and surprises that will leave you wondering how far we have evolved in the last century. 40 Days operates on weekends - see our website for details. Cost $35 Adult and $25 Concession. Book onto the Q Station Spirit Investigator Tour... Whether you are a ‘true believer’ or a sceptic, if you are interested in investigating the paranormal to prove or disprove activity, you will be interested in Spirit Investigator. This experience is based on participants creating a series of interactive experiments designed to try and detect and record the presence of paranormal activity within reportedly haunted buildings. Using a wide range of technology, participants will learn to distinguish between myths that can be disproven and activity that cannot yet be explained. Each night we don’t know what we might find.
