The Cooks Oasis

The Cooks Oasis is situated on the sheltered sunset side of the island of Rarotonga, just 60 metres from the beach and turquoise lagoon. We are on the beach side of the main road.

Swimming, snorkelling or just lazing in the sun ... who could ask for more?

Our villas are all self catering, so you can prepare meals in your own villa if you wish - especially handy for families! Our villas range from our studio and garden villas suitable for couples or singles, through to our 1 and 2 bedroom villas. Our 2 bedroom villa has a lagoon view from the deck.

Here at The Cooks Oasis Holiday Villas we provide free kayaks for your use, snorkeling equipment including masks, snorkels, fins, reef shoes. We also supply beach towels. We have a fresh water cool off pool which the children will love and comfy loungers by the pool to catch up on some reading.

Enjoy the facilities of our BBQ area with gas BBQ, utensils, and a good seating area.

We have a family room with a range of games, TV and DVD player with a selection DVD's to choose from (flatscreen TV and DVD player in each villa too). Also available is a good library of books.

We have a guest laundry with washer ($), dryer ($), and iron available. We also have WIFI available on the property ($).

The Cooks Oasis is in the village of Arorangi and is convenient to many amenities. There is a choice of excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. The 3 restaurants within a 2 minute walk are the Kikau Hut, Albertos, and the Anchorage restaurant. The Edgewater restaurants are also only a short walk (5-10mins) We also have a takeaway bar handy - just a 5 minute walk.
There is a liquor store with snack foods just across the road, Black rocks dairy is a short walk. Price rite superette is 1km away they also sell fresh local produce and icecream in a cone!

We are a 10 minute drive from the airport and 15 minutes to Avarua town. An Easy drive on your scooter, a hire car or take the bus. The bus stops right outside our driveway.

Whilst a Cook Islands holiday for most is a matter of not doing very much, there are plenty of things to do for those that cannot sit still. Swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, tramping, horse riding, and fishing for the energetic and art galleries, churches, shopping, dance competitions and cultural displays for the more relaxed.

At reception we have some local goodies for sale including local Atiu filter coffee. We can also arrange a beach or in-house massage or beauty treatment for you during your stay.

We have great deals on scooter and car rental and are happy to advise on activites and restaurants around the island.
