Located in central Nelson, an easy 5 minute walk to Nelson's excellent restaurants, shops and markets. Our friendly family run motel has 22 units. All our units are self contained with kitchen and bathroom. They all have Sky TV and are serviced daily by our housekeepers. We have a very large safe off Street Car park. There are plenty of options for you to choose from, including spacious one bedroom units with Super King beds in the bedroom, separate lounge with a pull out sofa bed if needed. We have a range of studios, they all contain a queen sized bed, lounge area (some units with pull out sofas), kitchen and bathroom. Our beautiful executive studios have been completely refurbished with completely new kitchens and bathrooms installed, that you will love. Our two bedroom units are on the first floor and all have balconies off the lounge. These are all self contained with everything except an oven (there are cook tops however, electric frying pans, microwave etc). There are several different configurations to suit your family and requirements. For the larger families there is a double bed in the bedroom off the lounge and three single beds in the upstairs bedroom. There are also units with two single beds in the upstairs bedroom. Our executive two bedroom is more open plan, it has a queen bed in the bedroom downstairs which allows you to watch TV from the queen bed. These have been refurbished. We are located between Nelson hospital, Nelson Boys college and Nelson Girls Collges (closer to Nelson Girls at town end of Waimea)very short walk to any. If you feel like staying in, Admirals is located next door to a Restaurant and across the road from a tavern. All guests are able to use the Swimming Pool, Spa and Guest Laundry free of Charge. Admiral's friendly staff will do their best to ensure you have the best stay in sunny Nelson. We can help with local advice as to things to do and see in the Nelson and Able Tasman area. |

| Getting There |
From South: Stay on state highway number 6 until the large roundabout past the Airport turn-off. Do not go to Tahunanui, go straight through roundabout to "City Central Via Bishipdale". This is Waimea Road, it will go past hospital and we are at the town End. Look for our large Blue Sign on your Left. From North: You will approach Nelson along Queen Elizabeth II drive, go to the "City center" by turning onto Trafalger St, follow this street until it stops at the base of the cathedral. Turn right onto Selwyn Place and then at the traffic lights turn left onto Rutherford St. Follow Rutherford St around a small bend were it becomes Waimea Rd, we are just past on the Right. Look for our blue Sign just past the park. |

Ample off-street car parking is available. The car park is easily able to accommodate several large tour and coach busses. Parking is complimentary for guests. |
| Things To Do |
Nelson is a wonderful city with heaps to see and do close by. Nelson locals are extremely tallented, this can be seen in the unique owner/operated boutiques, shops, galleries and famous Saturday and Sunday art, crafts and food makets (only 5 minutes walk). You can also go and visit local artist in the own studios on the many Art and Craft trails. Nelson produces award wining wines (esp aromatics) and wine trails have always been a hit with visitors, either under your own steam or picked and dropped off at the Admirals by tour guides, Some brewery tours are also available for the men. A great idea is to mix the Art and craft and the Wine tour together. An all time favourite of guests here is a day trip to the Able Tasman National Park. A truly beautiful part of the country appreciated by all. Walk, Kayak, relax on a Boat or a mixture along the pristine little beaches and get some great photos. Options for all abilities available. Tahunanui beach is a quick 5/10 minute drive for the Admirals Motor Inn, or choose to stay here around the Swimming pool. We are ideally located next to a park. Great for kids. Heritage trails: Founders park, Historical places such as Fairfield house, Broadgreen Historical house, Isel park. There are a number of excellent Gardens, Miyazu, Queens. Nelson council has walking maps that will show visitor the many walking tracks around the city including the popular bridges and center of New Zealand Walk. There is also a simular map for cyclists.
