Alexander House & Utopia Spa is a 4 Red Star awarded hotel, rated one of the top 200 hotels in the UK. Located just a sort distance from Gatwick airport and the M23 junction 10 and M25 junction 6, in the quiet village of Turners Hill. It was build when English country house living was a much sort after ideal. During the 17th Century, the family of the famous poet Percy Bysshe Shelley owned the spectacular estate. Guests can enjoy panoramic views of the 170 acres a gardens and parkland and also take advantage of complimentary membership during their stay to use the Gym, pools and heat treatment areas. The hotels stunning décor, tasteful furnishings and splendid works of art, which together create a modern opulence and understated luxury with friendly efficient service. Relax and unwind in the individually styled bedrooms designed with comfort and elegance in mind. Sleep comes easy with deep sprung mattresses, with the finest Egyptian cotton bed linen and comfy duvets. Indulge in luxurious over-sized bathrooms, designed using marble, granite and limestone, each with its own exquisite style. Many bathrooms have ‘His and Hers’ wash basins, polished Victorian style bateau baths, whilst others have two person tub and some partner showers. Unique to Alexander House our very own natural range of ‘Zing’ toiletries for your enjoyment and use of luxury towelling robes and slippers are provided during your stay. All bedrooms and suites are equipped with amenities you would expect to find in a luxury four star hotel, including a deluxe tea and coffee tray, mineral water, most having LCD TV’s, DVD player, personal safe and books to read at your leisure. Experience a room that is designed not just for function, but also for sheer indulgence. Alexander’s Restaurant is renowned for its fabulous modern European cuisine, rare wines and vintage ports. Menus emphasise the goodness of fresh, natural foods carefully prepared and artistically presented, with much of their ingredients being selected from the local area. Guests are offered an extensive world class wine list featuring over 200 bins. The hotel has been awarded two AA rosettes for high standards of cuisine and has achieved the RAC level four dining award. Reflections offers guests relaxed dining in a sleek modern environment, overlooking a beautiful central courtyard, serving freshly prepared food. The menu offers a wide variety of mouth-watering meals, to include classic favourites, light bites, salads and great vegetarian options. The restaurant comes complete with its own Champagne bar and funky interiors. Flames courtyard guests can dine alfresco throughout the summer and well into the crisp autumn months, when a log fire pit will be lit on colder evenings. Within the newly developed Shelley & Wakehurst Suites catering for 70 to 90, guests will be able to enjoy the ultimate fine dining experience, relax in the tranquil and private wedding garden, Guests can celebrate their marriage with a party and then sleep well in one of the indulgent and luxurious bedrooms, all complementing the main house in style and décor. At Alexander House guests can relax with roaring log fires in the winter or in tranquil gardens in the summer. In wood panelled lounges, with mulled wine, Pimms or Champagne, the house is truly the wedding venue for all seasons. PLEASE NOTE: the fine dining restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday evenings, however the Reflections restaurant is open 7 days a week. |

By road - Leave the m23 motorwayat junction 10 and follow the signs for East grinstead. At the second roundabout follow the signs for Turners Hill (B2028). Once in Turners Hill Village, turn left at the crossroads (B2110) to East Grinstead. Alexander House Hotel is on the left hand side after approximately 1.5 miles. By Rail - The nearest station is East Grinstead which is 4 miles away, the nearest mainline station is Gatwick which is 9 miles away. |
