Pension Berghof - The less expensive way... Relaxed family hospitality for over 40 years. We are located in the center of Gerlos and are only a short walk away from shops, banks and excellent restaurants. Our rooms are all down to earth with cable TV, balcony and have shared bathrooms. To enjoy the summer months we have a large garden to relax in, play a bit of table tennis or enjoy an evening barbecue. Start your day off at our buffet breakfast, escape the real world and experience peace and tranquillity that you can only find in a mountain village. We’d love to help organize your day – mountain bike down the winter slopes, go on a wild water rafting tour, paraglide, guide you on a hike through the mountains, regaling you with the tales of the area, the history and the wildlife. Enjoy our glacier fed “outdoor swimming pool”, the local lake for swimming, wind surfing, canoeing and fishing. Bed and breakfast! In total we have 16 rooms (30 beds)single, double and triple rooms. We look forward to seeing you soon! |

By car: Highway A12 direction Innsbruck – take exit Zillertal, follow street B169 direction Zillertal until Zell am Ziller, and follow street up the mountain to Gerlos (18km) or via Achensee or leave the highway at Kiefersfelden and come via Wörgl, Rattenberg, Brixlegg into Zillertal (without highway tax/sticker) You can also come via Kufstein – Kitzbühel – Paß Thurn – Mittersill to Gerlos Public Transfer – Bus: Mayrhofen – Zell am Ziller – Gerlos Price: Zell am Ziller to Gerlos app. € 3,-- By train: By train to Jenbach/Tirol; go on with Zillertalbahn (little steam train) or bus to Zell am Ziller and from there with bus to Gerlos By plane: Airport Munich (Franz-Josef-Strauß) app. 200km Airport Salzburg (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart) app. 180km Airport Innsbruck app. 85 km Taxi transfer from all airports possible |

BIKING: 232 Mountainbikekilometers with direct connection between Gerlos, Zell am Ziller and Königsleiten/Wald are waiting for you to be explored. Nice tracks for beginners and single trails for advanced bikers. Free guided mountainbike tours for our guests in Berghof!! WATER SPORTS: Water pleasure is guaranteed in Gerlos at the local mountain lake “Durlaßboden” with fresh water. The lake warms up to 21°C during the summer months. Sailing, surfing, rowing, swimming or just relaxing or hiking around the lake and enjoying the scenery turn this spot into one of the summer highlights of Gerlos. Annual run around the lake (11km) in August with price money and big festival after the race attracts also many sportive people for training or challenge. More information under info@berghof-gerlos.at HORSE BACK RIDING: Local horse farm with great offers also for 1, 2 or more daytrips into the countryside and mountain scenery. Western style. PARAGLIDING/RAFTING/CANYONING: A great experience for those ones who are looking for a challenge up in the air or on the local river and waterfalls! More information under Tel: +43 (0)5284-5511 HIKING: Gerlos, Zell, Königsleiten/Wald and Krimml – those 4 villages offer a great variety of hiking trails for everyone. Kids adventure parcours and special kids program for free participation. Special for our guests – Alpine Fun program – guided hiking tours every day into our side valleys, or up to one of the great tops of the mountains for advanced hikers – for free!!! Nordic walking with guide etc. Personal advice at the hotel! GOLF: Next golfcourt – Mittersill Interesting sights: Swarovski Crystalworlds in Wattens (55km) Innsbruck – the capitol of Tyrol (80km) Salzburg – the town where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born (150km) Hall – the “coin”-city (75km) Schwaz – the “silver”-city (50km) Rattenberg – the “glas”-city (50km) Farm-house museum in Kramsach (55km): Collection of historical farms and houses from different parts of Tyrol rebuilt on an area of appr. 8 ha. Water wonder world in Krimml (20km) One of the most terrific sights in the area are the waterfalls in the national park Hohe Tauern. Planetarium – Königsleiten (10km) Watch the stars from one of the highest places in Europe – you will be overwhelmed. Guided tours and information in different languages.
