Welcome to Durras North - one of those 'secret' south coast places you sometimes hear about. It is no secret what you can do there though. Swim, fish, bushwalk, surf, coastwalk, relax, birdwatch...whew! Located in the heart of the Murramarang National Park and Batemans Marine Park, Durras North is the perfect choice for your holiday. The pristine Durras Lake and Durras beach are just a short stroll away. Enjoy a relaxed holiday in a stunning natural environment, where kangaroos are guaranteed to be seen. In addition, there are possums, parrots, lizards, bandicoots, marine life and the magnificent bush of the surrounding national park. Pebbly Beach is just a 10 minute drive away and Batemans Bay is 20 minutes. Accommodation offered includes traditional 'retro' cottages, park cabins or camping in the Durras Beach Camping Ground. The owners have tried to keep their park the way holidays used to be. Relaxed and friendly. But remember, once you have discovered Durras North, you may want to keep it a secret! |

| Getting There |
Durras North is approximately a 3-4 hour drive from Sydney(280km) or a 2 hour drive from Canberra (150km). It is a 20 minute drive from Batemans Bay (24km). From Sydney, take the Princes Hwy south to Ulladulla. Continue for another 38kms south and take the Durras Lake North & Depot Beach turn off on your left. Drive along this road (Mt Agony Rd) for 5km then turn to your right for another 3km to the village of Durras North. From Canberra, take the Kings Highway east to Batemans Bay. Once at Batemans Bay, travel north on the Princes Hwy for 14km. The turnoff is clearly marked 'Durras Lake North - Depot Beach. (Do not take the South Durras turnoff) Once at Durras North, the park is located on the right hand side. You really can’t miss it! If you are coming by bus, it may be possible to pick you up from the bus stops at nearby East Lynne or Benandarah. (By arrangement only) |

| Things To Do |
Located in the heart of the Murramarang National Park, Durras North is the perfect base for bush or beach walks. Ideal for showing overseas guests the Australian bush and wildlife in its natural state. All guests receive complimentary bushwalking guide sheets to the many walks in this area of the Murramarang National Park. Durras Lake is a short stroll away and is renowned for fishing, canoeing, birdwatching. Durras Beach is ideal for surfing, swimming and fishing. Other activities include bike riding, sea kayaking or canoeing. Batemans Bay is just 20 minutes away and is a major regional centre with shops, restaurants, clubs golf and mini-gold and many other facilities and attractions.
