Directions to Claremonte Motor Lodge Travelling north on SH 2 turn left into Southampton Street (first set of traffic lights). Turn right at Nelson Street (third intersection) then left at Heretaunga Street traffic lights. Claremonte Motor Lodge is on the left just past McDonalds. Travelling south on the new motorway from Napier, follow Hastings Central City signs, continue straight ahead at Stortford Lodge roundabout. There is so much to do in Hawke's Bay. In Hastings you can spend a day with the family at Splash Planet water park. Make sure you take a picnic with you. Visit one of the many golf courses around the Bay including the spectacular Cape Kidnappers Golf Course. Also at Cape Kidnappers is the world famous Gannet Colony, which you can visit by tractor or in comfort by air-conditioned 4WD bus. Take a short drive to a huge selection of award-winning wineries such as Craggy Range, Church Road, Mission and Vidals to name but a few. Many of these wineries have award-winning restaurants that use fantastic fresh local produce. Take in the views and walkways on the spectacular Te Mata Peak. The Hawke's Bay Farmers Market is a great place to taste a huge variety of local products - this is held every Sunday morning at the Hawke's Bay Showgrounds. The art deco city of Napier is only a 15-minute drive away and the boutique village of Havelock North is a 5-minute drive away.
