Only a few minutes restful walk through beautiful Australian bush separates you from Australia's renowned springs and spa resort. Enjoy natures own treasures at your doorstep, whilst lapping up the cosy comfort of your very own cottage. Warmed by real wood fires or cooled by split system air conditioners. Tangenong Cottages offer all the comforts and facilities that makes Hepburn Springs a popular destination. The Cottages: Locarno An elevated position gives Locarno privacy without sacrificing great western views of the bush. The spacious bedroom has a queen size bed with large two person corner spa and walk in shower as ensuite. The living area features the famed Ned Kelly wood heater backed by reverse cycle air conditioning LCD TV. The well equipped kitchen and secluded dining area feature great treetop views of the plentiful birdlife. With separate car entry, fire wood located conveniently at the rear door and your own BBQ Locarno is truly your personal hideaway. Tarilta Tarilta is the best getaway for a romantic couple or two good friends. Complete with large spa bath, quality fittings, wood fire, great furnishings and splendiferous views. A king sized bed (or two singles), kitchenette facilities for sustenance, a Ned Kelly wood heater to raise the temperature,LCD TV, DVD and CD player for those relaxing wind down times and a wide spacious private verandah with a beautiful outlook over the surrounding bush will all combine to provide just the right environment to make this stay memorable. Aurora This studio provides very secluded accommodation for 1 couple. The queen sized bed is a great vantage point to admire the wonderful view from the west facing window (fantastic sunsets). Located on the highest point of our site, but almost hidden in the surrounding bush, Aurora is often described as "like being in a tree house". Aurora offers a real chance to be private, independent and relaxed, with out breaking the budget. A genuine secluded hideaway for the cost conscious.. | Getting There |
Daylesford and Hepburn Springs are most accessible by private car. There is a limited VLine service by train and coach from Woodend (twice daily weekdays, once a day weekends) or Ballarat (once a day). From Melbourne by car Via Western Hwy - take Daylesford/Mineral Springs Area exit from highway after the first Ballan exit. Via Calder Hwy - take Woodend exit from highway and Daylesford turn off in Woodend. Once in Daylesford, follow the Hepburn Springs sign at the roundabout at the bottom of the main street. Follow this road all the way to Hepburn Springs (approximately 5km). This will lead to Forest Avenue. Drive up Forest Avenue around two bends. Tangenong Cottages are located on the right hand side halfway up the hill. |

There is space for one car to park at each cottage. Aurora and Tarilta have a carport each, Locarno a car space. |

Visit the mineral springs, Spa Resort, Lavender farm, shops and galleries, go bush walking, horse riding or boating, picnic in a park, at a lake or in a volcanic crater, eat out at restaurants and cafes, pamper yourself with a massage, spa or other therapy, climb lookout towers, explore the Blowhole and old gold digging areas, or just enjoy your cottage and surroundings. |
