| Getting There |
By Plane: from the Capodichino airport in Naples there is a bus service run by the Curreri company with numerous daily trips; the length of the journey to Sorrento is approximately 1 hour. The closest stop is the terminal, the Sorrento main square, Piazza Tasso. By Car: arriving from Naples, follow the indications for the highway A3 in the direction of Salerno. After 25 km take the exit at Castellammare di Stabia. Then, driving along the road towards Sorrento, you will arrive in the main square of Sorrento, Piazza Tasso. By Train: from the Naples central station in Piazza Garibaldi, take the Circumvesuviana (local metro service) to Sorrento and get off at the terminal, Sorrento station. The Circumvesuviana trains depart every 30 minutes till 11.00 pm. By Boat: from the port in Naples, at the harbour BEVERELLO, take the hydrofoil to Sorrento. In about 35 minutes you will arrive at the harbour in Sorrento from where, every 10 minutes, there are mini-buses that arrive in Piazza Tasso, the main square of Sorrento. |

There is a private parking 200 mt. far and the cost is 10 EUR for all day long. It's open 24 hours a day. |

City Centre, Shopping Centre, Near Train Station, Old Town. An ideal base for exploring this amazing town and the beautiful surrounding, like Capri, Pompei, Ercolano, and all the Amalfi Coast. Right in the centre of Sorrento and in walking distance to getting around. You will find all kind of shops, like chemists, banks, grocery stores and so on. Good restaurants and snack bars are located nearby the Sorrento Flats where you can taste some good Italian specialities.. Sorrento: shopping, by foot; Pompeii: archaeological excavations, by train; Herculaneum: archaeological excavations, by train; Naples: monuments and shopping, by train or by hydrofoil; Capri: the island + Faraglioni Rocks, by hydrofoil; Ischia: the island; Caserta: The Royal Palace + its huge gardens, by car or by train; Positano: The entire village built along the rocks, by car or by bus; Amalfi: the village + the Cathedral, by car or by bus; Vietri: the famous ceramic industry town, by car or by bus. |
