The Ferry Hotel is a charming, historic 125 year-old former hotel, which is now operating as a bed & breakfast. Situated above the famous Shotover River and next to the Historic Shotover Bridge the Guesthouse is surrounded by delightful cottage gardens in a scenic rural area with all day sun. Kevin has researched the history of the Hotel and traced its beginnings back to 1868. The guesthouse reflects this with pictures from the past and a special old world ambiance. If you are looking for a place to stay where you can feel as comfortable as you do at Home, The Ferry Hotel B & B is that place. Slippers, Bathrobes and a roaring log fire, delightful lounge dining room with plenty of books, games, piano and TV. Garden area is perfect for barbecues and picnics and the walking track under the old bridge for an after dinner stroll. Buckley our exuberant English Springer spaniel will be delighted to take you.

Queenstown is a multi season destination, spring, summer, autumn and winter all have a special attraction. Winter is the time for skiing and during this season the guesthouse is offered on a self-catering basis for Whole House bookings of 5 nights or more.

The Ferry Hotel B & B is just 10 minutes to Queenstown or Arrowtown, central to all attractions and ideally situated to explore the surrounding areas of Queenstown, Glenorchy, Arrowtown, Wanaka, and Milford Sound. Glenys, your hostess will look after you, leaving you free to relax and enjoy yourself.

The guesthouse offers exclusive use for guests with owners accommodation completely separate but adjoining. We have two units only, offering Bed and Breakfast for a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children, which means that Glenys and Kevin, your hosts, can give you all the help and advice you need with a personal touch. Kevin drives for a Limousine tour service so is not always around, however when he is, he loves to talk about fishing as this is his passion.

Unit 1 is a Double Room with antique brass bed (don't worry, new mattress and base ensure a comfortable nights sleep) and ensuite bathroom.

Unit 2 is a double room with King-size bed and a private bathroom next door. Unit 2 also has the option of adding a small twin room to make this a Family Unit.

As a third option we can also offer the Whole House for Families or small groups

Getting There	By Car, from Roundabout at Frankton Take SH6 towards Arrowtown, approx 6 klms. After crossing the Shotover River proceed to top of hill and over the brow and turn left into Lower Shotover Road round the bend and left into Spence road.
