Featuring all ground floor units, with tea and coffee making facilities, toaster, fridge, microwave (on request), and modern reverse cycle air conditioning you will be ensured of a comfortable and relaxing stay. The City Gate Motel is not located on a roundabout, at traffic lights or on a hill, minimising noise. Located conveniently between the city and the Tamworth Regional Entertainment Centre (TREC) and close to sporting fields. *THIS PROPERTY IS STRICTLY NON-SMOKING. Smoking is permitted outside. A cleaning fee may be charged if a guest has smoked in a room. |

We are located 2.5km from the railway station and a 10 minute drive from the airport. The bus terminal for Greyhound Buses is located at the Tourist Information Centre. Drop off is available to the station, airport and bus terminal on request. |

Tamworth is known by many as the Country Music Capital of Australia. It is a beautiful and relaxed inland city with many features including sight-seeing, sport, shopping, cafes and recreational activities or you can take it easy by enjoying the parks, including Bicentennial Park and the Botanical Gardens. *Our friendly Tamworth Tourist Information Centre is a wealth of information on things to see and do and well worth a visit! * You can visit galleries and venues dedicated to country music including the Golden Guitar along with the Wax Works and Golden Guitar Café and Gift Shop, Walk a Country Mile with Country Music legends. * Two excellent golf courses, five bowling clubs, a tennis club and sporting facilities for all sports are here in Tamworth. * There is the Powerhouse Museum (Tamworth was the first city in the southern hemisphere to use electric street lighting) or the incredible motor cycle museum. * There are plenty of pleasant local drives through picturesque rural countryside to outlying villages to surrounding areas where you can visit; a gold mining town, craft centres & woollen mill, wineries, Banalasta Lavender Farm, a gliding centre where joy flights are available 365 days a year, large dams with recreation areas and great fishing. |
