The Alara Motor Inn is a beautifully presented 4 star motor inn situated on the Bruce Highway, only minutes from the city heart of Mackay, airport, beaches and all amenities. All our rooms are recently refurbished and provide all amenities needed by the discerning traveller including TV, video and Austar, tea & coffee making facilities, iron and board, hair dryer, air conditioning, internet data port. We also have two bedroom family units and executive suites with double corner spas. Our Sea Winds licenced a-la-carte restaurant is open Mon to Fri for breakfast 6.30am to 7.30am and dinner Mon to Thur from 6pm to 9pm, room service is available during these times, specialising in fresh local seafood and steaks. The verandah overlooking the pool and tropical surrounds is the perfect place to dine alfresco. We have a conference room which is suitable for small conferences, meetings, seminars, etc, where all refreshments and equipment can also be provided for. |

We are situated on Nebo Road, which is the Bruce Highway as it goes through Mackay. We are on the left hand side heading north, about three blocks north of the intersection at the Bridge Road traffic lights. Your taxi driver will know how to find us. |

Mackay is situated centrally along the Queensland coast between Brisbane and Cairns, and is the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. One hours drive to the west takes you up the Eungella range and into the Eungella National Park, for lovely rainforest walks and platypus viewing. Mackay has many beautiful unspoilt beaches. Markets are open every weekend displaying local talents, arts, crafts and entertainment. |
