Puri Saron is situated in the middle of the rice fields and tropical forest in Madangan Village near Gianyar (15 minutes) and Ubud (20 minutes). Directly from our hotel we provide 2 cultural tours, a medium soft Valley Trekking (2 hrs) and a soft Rice Field Trekking (3,5 hrs) through Madangan with Wyan our hotel guide. During these tours you will experience what Bali really is. You have the opportunity to walk in the rice fields under guidance of Wyan, visiting the Village Temple, visiting a children school, visiting a traditional Balinese Family and drinking coffee or a soft drink in the "Warung". From Puri Saron it is 1 hour to the airport. We provide free pick up service from the following Areas: Airport, Kuta, Sanur, Nusa Dua and Ubud. Our small resort consists of 5 Superior Rooms, 5 Deluxe Rooms, 2 Traditional Balinese Houses and 2 Huge Nature Villas (spacious houses with wooden flooring, bamboo, rattan and coconut wood furniture). The Villas each have 2 floors: upstairs the living room with kitchenette and a private balcony with valley view; downstairs two big bedrooms with king-size beds and one bathroom with outside shower. Take a dip in our swimming pool when you feel like freshing up. Our staff is waiting for you in our Mawar restaurant and bar to satisfy all your culinary wishes at any time. Also for a traditional full body massage you are at the right place. The massages are given by our classified staff at very reasonable prices. All superior rooms, deluxe rooms, Balinese Houses and Villas face the tropical forest and the beautiful rice fields and are equipped with airconditioning, private balcony, private safe, satellite television, radio, telephone, mini bar, shower and/or bath tub, hot & cold water. Additional services: 24 hours room service, doctor on call, taxi service, tour & travel service, car rental and laundry service . From Madangan a lot of day trips can be arranged. Our staff can provide you with any kind of information about the surroundings and the activities. |

We provide 2 tours around our hotel in Madangan Village, a Valley Trekking and a pure journey into the heart of Balinese culture. You have the chance to experience what the real life on Bali is. Ubud (20 minutes drive from Puri Saron) is a remarkable town located in the middle of the island of Bali. If you’re looking for culture, comfort, nature and inspiration, Ubud is the place to be. If you want to go shopping, you should definitely go there. The main shopping area is centered around three large, interconnected shopping streets: Jalan Raya, Jalan Hanoman and Jalan Dewi Sita. Here you can find all kinds of things; ancient antiques, the latest designs, cheap souvenirs, modern masterpieces of art, useful objects and whimsical trinkets. Prices vary widely, and bargaining is the norm. Try it, but always be polite. Ubud is surrounded by most of the rarities that bring people to Bali like scenic rice fields, small villages, art and craft communities, ancient temples, palaces and rivers. And its central position makes it easy to get from Ubud to the mountains, the beaches, and other major towns. Gianyar district is well-known as the centre of arts in Bali. Especially in the northern part of Gianyar (Ubud district) people are famous for their artistic skills such as sculpting and paintings. Enjoy spectacular views of Mount Batur, with ribbons of black lava running down from its peak into the valley below. Besakih is known as the mother temple of Bali. The sight of the temple against the backdrop of the mountain is breathtaking. Tanah lot Visit one of Bali’s most important coastal temples. This 16th century temple is built atop a huge rock outcropping in the sea. At low tide it is possible to walk to the temple. The best time to see Tanah Lot is at sunset. Goa Gajah near Ubud, also known as elephant cave dates back to the 11th century and is believed to have been built as a monastery for meditation. Excavations have uncovered a bathing place with six statues of goddesses holding water urns. Goa Lawah is a unique temple outside a cave, which shelters thousands of bats, hence the name Goa Lawah or Bat Cave. It is said that the cave extends all the way to the base of Mountain Agung. Kusamba Village where fishing and salt panning still are the villager’s main livelihood. Ayung white water Rafting A two-hour rafting trip will take you through the most spectacular tropical jungle scenery Bali has to offer. World-class river guides and modern safety equipment make this a fun and safe day out for the whole family with a mix of wild excitement and incredible jungle sightseeing as you switch between Class II and III rapids and wide, leisurely stretches through tropical rain forest. Padang bay (snorkling/diving) Situated a one-hour drive away from Madangan Gianyar. This picturesque bay is surrounded by majestic cliffs and hills. Ideal for dives at 3 to 20 meters depth. Here the water is strewn with a full growth of coral, fishes will surely guarantee an impressive underwater adventure. |
