Wainui, 25 minutes from the ferry, is a modern three bedroom house. It has a king/twin and two queen rooms. Each room is en suite, including a heated towel rail, television with video/DVD player. Full heating of course. There is a large lounge, with TV and video/DVD player, dining area and a fully equipped kitchen, with tea and coffee making facilities. Wainui is a self catering cottage. Wainui (“big water” in Maori) is surrounded by farmland and cannot be overlooked, pun intended. It looks over the d'Entrecasteau Channel and Storm Bay with 180° views from the wide deck. Nebraska Beach and Dennes Point jetty is ten minutes walk away, and beach towels are available. |

| Getting There |
Allow an hour from Hobart Airport to the ferry from Kettering. Disembarking on Bruny Island, go 9 km, turn left at the Dennes Pt sign, go 11 km to the Dennes Point township and 40 kph signs. The entrance is sharp right so it’s easier to go past and come back from the opposite direction. An easy 25 mins. Maximum speed limits are 90 kph on sealed and 80 kph on unsealed roads. Total trip meter distance from Hobart 52 km. |
