Brand new five star resort, Come see the best views in town yourself! Akama Resort is one of those unique five star properties that stand out from the rest. We are situated conveniently opposite the Hervey Bay Marina where all the transfers for whale whatching and Fraser Island depart. We offer to you, unrivalled luxury and space not often seen in holiday accommodation. We have one, two and three bedroom and penthouse apartments with king, queen, king split single beds, all apartments have 2 bathrooms. All apartments have very large spacious living area's and balconies much bigger than most, 106cm plasma Tv's, 66cm LCD's in main bedroom, stereo, DVD player, three high speed broadband outlets per apartment and free Austar. Full size concertina glass doors open the width of the living area bringing the outside in. Large market umbrellas and sunlounges fringe the beautiful heated sparkling pool and spa, the large bbq area has tables and chairs under-cover with male and female toilets and showers. Our higher levels and penthouse apartments have uninterrupted views across the Great Sandy Straits to Fraser Island. The kitchens are stylish and more than well equipped. We believe all the little luxuries count and have included coffee machine and sandwich makers in some apartments, come and see the fish that swim up the side of the building, also along the bottom of the pool. We have free tour bookings lifts to all levels, keyless entry, secure under-cover parking and boat storage is available.Onsite managers for added security.With the multi million dollar marina expansion and numerous resort's being built close by, Urangan is the place to be.Changes at managers discretion subject to $25.00 administration fee. |

If you're arriving outside of these times, please call us after your booking is made for late arrival instructions. Car: Drive along Boat Harbour Drive (about 5km) till you come to the roundabout at Elizabeth st (Woolworths Supermarket).Continue straight ahead through the rounabout till you come to the end of the road(Esplanade), turn left then left again in 300m into Akama resort (Crn Esplanade and Miller street) We are adjacent to the Hervey Bay Marina. Plane: The Hervey Bay Airport Shuttle meets all flights in and out of the Fraser Coast airport. |

Each apartment is allocated one/two numbered secure car parks under the complex. All additional car/boat/bike parking must be co-ordinated with management and is at their discretion. |

Hervey Bay is best known for its access to natural attractions of the world heritage listed Fraser Island, the Southern Great Barrier Reef, including the coral bay of Lady Elliot Island, and spectacular pristine beaches. During the months of July, August, September and October Hervey Bay is blessed with the majestic sight of Hump Back Whales in the pristine calm waters of the Great Sandy Straits. This is an experience of a lifetime for all involved. Book a Whale Watching tour with our friendly tour desk. There are dozens of other attractions that can enhance a truly unique holiday experience from the joys of a trip on the glass bottomed vessel MV Krystal Klear, to sailing the Bay, to the action of Go Karting. One Day Tours to Fraser Island – including Safari tour, discovery tour, and exclusive tour, and Ultimate tour.
