Marcello Piacentini was the architect who in 1913 designed and shaped this “small villa” on behalf of a noble Roman family from those days. Only a few years had gone since when, not far away from there, the ancient walls of the city were attacked and breached at Porta Pia, created by Michelangelo, in order to reunite the Eternal City to the rest of Italy. From Rome Fiumicino Airport Take the Leonardo Express train for Roma Termini. From Stazione di Termini continue as described in the "By train" paragraph. From Rome Ciampino Airport Take the Terravision shuttle for Roma Termini (arrival on Via Marsala 22), and then from Piazza dei Cinquecento, in front of Stazione Termini, take bus number 90 or number 36 (see the "By train" paragraph"). By train From Piazza dei Cinquecento, across from Stazione Termini, take bus number 90 or 36 (get off at the Via Carlo Fea stop). Continue walking along Via Nomentana and turn right to Via Carlo Fea. By car From the highways, get on the Grande Raccordo Anulare (Rome's ring road) and take exit 8 "Via Salaria-Parioli" or, from Roma-L'Aquila A24, take exit 14, and follow directions for the center "Piazza Fiume" and/or "Corso Italia". Travel the whole length of Via Nomentana, before crossroad Via 21 Aprile, turn right to Via Carlo Fea. You can also take exit 11 "Nomentana centro". Travel the whole length of Via Nomentana, until Crossroad Via 21 Aprile. Turn left to Via Carlo Fea and you will arrive at the Hotel. By Metro From “Termini Station” take subway B up to “Bologna” stop. Walk for 500 metres reaching Via Carlo Fea. |

Near by the hotel, our guests will have the possibility to admire the following places of interest: Villa Torlonia one of the most recent Roman villa belonging to a well renown noble family, it still keeps an intriguing beauty rendered from the original scenery of the British’s garden one of the few example in Rome and from the rich and unexpected quantity of artistically designed buildings disseminated in the park. It is located very close to the hotel. The Casina of the Civette, literally translated The Birds House, Main residency of the prince Giovanni Torlonia until the 1938, it is a very peculiar construction in liberty style that takes its name from the presence of a large stained glassy window with two stylized owl between ivy’s branches. We are talking about one of the most singular and interesting Manu fact dated during the first years of the last century. Located just few steps away from the hotel Il Casino Nobile It was the Ball room of the Torlonia residence, majestic building enriched by an impressive pronaos affixed to improve its visibility for all those that were passing by the main Nomentana way. It is located just a few meters away from the Hotel. Porta Pia, Built on the design of Michelangelo Porta Pia remains famous most of all for the “breccia” breach opened on the 20th of September 1870 by the Bersaglieri a special military corps of the Italian army during the last historical steps that brought to the unification of what we know today as Italy and that put to an end what was known as the Papal Empire, it was so that Rome become the capital of Italy. It is located less than a mile away from the Hotel. Mausoleo di Santa Costanza One of the bridgeheads of the ancient architecture; it was one of the first examples of Christian’s building built with a central plan that has been entirely preserved till today.
