Angkhang Nature Resort is situated a comfortable, three-hour drive from Chiang Mai through some of Thailand's most spectacular scenery. Its mountain location, cool climate and the scenic beauty of the surrounding countryside make it the ideal getaway for nature lovers. Accommodation: The hotel offers 76 rooms. The guestrooms are situated in separate buildings throughout the landscaped gardens. All guestrooms are spacious with balconines overlooking the surround countryside. Dining: The Calellia Restaurant serves delicious Thai, northern Thai and western specialities using the fresh vegetables, fruit and hers grown locally by the Royal Angkhang Agricultural Station Project. It has both indoor and outdoor seating and offers fabulous sunset and mountain views. Activities: Mountain biking, hill walking, mule-riding, jogging, trekking, bird-watching. Attractions: Visit the hilltribes that live in the area, the Thai/Myanmar border and the Royal Angkhang Station Project. There are many species of rare and migratory birds to be seen in and around the resort and several spectacular viewpoints from which to watch sunrise and sunset. |
