Tally Ho Motor Inn has 24 well appointed (3½ Star) motel style units. We have a home style restaurant with real country hospitality. Senior citizens & groups are our speciality. All units are ground level with under-cover parking. Tenterfield is a cultural epicenter, set deep in the heart of Australian Heritage, conveniently located at the gateway to both the New England and Northern River Regions. Tenterfield enjoys warm Summer days, cool mountain Winter nights, blazing red Autumns with tree lined roads and bright wildflower Springs. Only 3½ hours drive south from Brisbane. Why not come down and stay the night. This will enable you to have an easier drive to Sydney or if travelling further south possibly arriving a day earlier. For those travelling north, why not stop overnight in Tenterfield which will allow easy access to the Gold or Sunshine Coasts the next day and for those travelling inland, most destinations are within reach the next day. Dine in our restaurant with a wood fire place and air conditioned comfort. Home style cooking is our specialty. |

| Things To Do |
Tenterfield has lots to offer so time permitting take in the history and scenery. A strong sense of history exists in Tenterfield with links to many National characters. Sir Henry Parks gave has maiden Federation speech in Tenterfield which led to the town being known as "The Birthplace Of Our Nation". Captain Thunderbolt (alis Fred Ward) plied his trade as a bushranger in the area, Major J F Thomas who defended Harry "the Breaker" Morant was resident here, Banjo Patterson was Married in a Tenerfield church and Peter Allen the entertainer was born here, grandson of the Tenterfield Saddler, the main character in has beautful song. Or visit one of the 10 National Parks, or some of our local winery’s for a bottle of award winning wines before travelling on. The beautful Tenterfield Golf Course is a must for the Golfer in you. Situated only 1km away. |
