Originally built in 1854, The Hotel Shamrock has remained as an Icon of Bendigo and Victoria throughout the ages. The Hotel Shamrock commands the city's finest location, situated on the corner of Pall Mall and Williamson Street in Bendigo's CBD. It sits adjacent to the magnificent Rosalind Park and the historic Post office and court house buildings. The Hotel Shamrock is the perfect city base for discovering the best that Bendigo has to offer. Your choice at The Hotel Shamrock ranges from suites with comfortable private lounge areas and spa baths, to ensuite rooms. Whatever your choice, all are tastefully furnished, with fine quality linen, and include fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar, TV, radio, ISD/STD phone, alarm clock, personally controlled air conditioning and heating and wireless broadband internet connection available throughout the Hotel. The Hotel has recently been refurbished, with new furniture and linen in all our accommodation rooms and new bathrooms. The public areas have been repainted in the original Heritage colours. We have a new fine dining restaurant on the first floor, The Victorian Wine Room, selling only wine from the Victorian region. The emphasis for winter is on "slow cooked food". Open Tuesday to Saturday for dinner only. We have a concierge available every morning to help with your luggage and by the end of May our members lounge will be ready for use. Our Saloon bar cafe on the the ground floor is the perfect place for a casual get together and is open for lunch and dinner 7 days. When you venture out into our grand lounges, you can make your entrance either down the grand staircase, or more discreetly in our modern lift. If you have arrived by car, you will also appreciate the adjacent secure, undercover multi storey Council owned car park available for our guests. |

90 minutes from Melbourne on the Calder Highway, one block past the fountain in the heart of Bendigo. We are a ten to fifteen minute walk from the train station, or Taxis are readily available. |

The Hotel Shamrock is centrally located and is directly opposite the tourist information centre, who are a mine of local information, Whilst in Bendigo take advantage of the many tourist attractions, the Talking Tram, a trip down the mine or take the children to the Science and Discovery centre or Confectionery Capers. |
