In a quiet secluded valley of the Watagan Forest and set in the centre of 115 acres, Kemeys offers delightful suites that are situated in a separate wing of the rambling Australian country style home. Suites each have a king bedroom, double spa bathroom and private lounge, DVD, CD, VCR & Ceiling fan in the bedroom. In addition the Garden Spa Suite & Tennis Court Spa Suite have kitchenette, wood fire and reverse cycle air conditioning. A delightful romantic indulgence, floodlit at night and a peaceful oasis by day with the sounds of the forest all around. Kemeys is at Mandalong, 10kms west of Morisset and is nestled in the foothills of the vast Watagan Mountains with its many walks, lookouts & picnic areas. It is also centrally located to explore the whole scenic area of Lake Macquarie, the Hunter valley vineyards, rugged coastal beaches & historic Newcastle. Fifty five minutes north of Sydney on the F3 & then seven minutes to our unique property, enjoy local wallabies and abundant native birds and wildlife. Guest entries over the past eleven years have shown consistent appreciation for Kemeys hospitality and two recent comments were: Len & Laura said; "The house, hosts & surroundings were amazing. The food divine. We liked that we could either be energetic or lounge in front of the fire, reading. It was great to regroup as husband and wife, thank you". | Getting There |
Directions to Kemeys from South (Sydney) to 410 Sauls Road Mandalong. Travelling from Sydney, take the F3 (National 1) freeway from Wahroonga, heading north towards Newcastle. After about 50 minutes take the Morisset, Cooranbong, Mandalong Rd exit and turn left (West) into Mandalong Rd. Then after 1km turn right into Deaves Rd (sign says to Cooranbong) & after only 150metres, turn left into Sauls Road. 4.1km up Sauls road (100m of gravel) on the right side you will see the number 410, a silver 44 gallon mail drum and the Kemeys sign on the wooden gate, which is set back from the road. The gate may look locked but will open easily, please shut. Directions to Kemeys from NORTH (Newcastle) to 410 Sauls Road Mandalong. Travelling from north, take the F3 (National 1) freeway heading south towards Sydney. Take the Morisset, Mandalong exit & turn right (West) into Mandalong Rd. Then after a little more than 1km turn right into Deaves Rd (sign says to Cooranbong) & after only 100 metres, turn left into Sauls Road. 4.1km up Sauls Road on the right side you will see the number 410, a silver 44gallon mail drum and the Kemeys sign on the wooden gate. The gate may look locked but will open easily, please shut. By rail, on the Hunter Regional line to our nearest station at Morisset, pick up available by prior arrangement. |
