Harbour View Motel's location makes it an ideal base from which to explore the Twin Coasts of the Coromandel Peninsula and is situated minutes from Coromandel's restaurants, cafes, golf course, craft shops and galleries and within easy reach of major attractions including : Driving Creek Railway, the Gold Stamper Battery, Museum, Waiau Waterworks, the 309 Road waterfalls and Kauris.

There are three bush walks close by - the Kauri Block Pa Track, the Harray Track and the Long Bay Scenic Reserve and Kauri Grove. If you?re walking the Coromandel Coastal Walkway, Coromandel Discovery tours will pick you up and drop you back to the Motel

Getting There	By road: From Auckland travel via the Southern Motorway (SH1)approx 35 mins. Turn left at major off-ramp directing traffic to the Coromandel Peninsula and Tauranga. Follow SH2 and then take a left onto SH25 to Thames. Once in Thames continue on SH25 to Coromandel Town (54klms approx 1 hour). On arrival in town turn left at T-intersection and continue 2.1km to Harbour View Motel.We are just pass the sign for McGregor Bay at the corner of Long Bay and Harbour View Road. Total travel time from Auckland approx. 2 1/2 hours.
Parking	Free parking is available outside your back door for one car. Please contact the Motel if you intend to bring a boat, or more than 1 vehicle.
Things To Do	Like walking? We have a leaflet of all the walks in the Coromandel area. The Motel is situated next to the start of the Kauri Block Track and the Harray Track. We can personally recommend the beautiful Coromandel Coastal Walkway. Apart from the stunning scenery and gold-mining history Coromandel is well known for the wealth of arts and crafts, available in the many craft shops, galleries, or direct from the studios.
