The Outrigger On The Lagoon - Fiji is a luxury, officially rated 5 star resort situated in the heart of Fiji's Coral Coast. The resort is set on a white sand beach, amongst 40 acres of tall palms and lush tropical landscaped gardens. The accommodation is comprised of 207 deluxe rooms, most with sweeping ocean views and 47 traditional thatched bures (bungalows). For guests staying in a bure, suite or Deluxe Ocean View Room they will also experience the “Talai” (butler) VIP service too, some of the inclusions that the “Talai” service will offer include; welcome drinks, personalised guest services, and complimentary champagne and canapés personally delivered to your bure/room every afternoon. The resort was designed and built to reflect the true Fijian experience and way of life – it is Fiji! Outrigger On The Lagoon Fiji – Sightseeing & Day Touring Options The Outrigger on the Lagoon Fiji is located in the heart of the Coral Coast – this region is known as Fiji’s “Activity & Adventure Play Ground”. From white water rafting to cultural village tours there is something for everyone. Listed below are just some of the tours and activities that can be organized from the resort and for more information please contact your Fiji based ground operator, the Fiji Visitors Bureau or the Tour Desk at the resort, prices are indicative only and should only be used as a guide line. Navua River Village Tour Travel by motor boat up the Navua river past local villages and witness untouched natural beauty, seeing majestic water falls and visit a traditional Fijian village for lunch. Try the local “kava” too. This is a full day tour and prices range from F$110.00 per person. Sigatoka Valley & Tavuni Hill Fort Tour View the restored Tongan hill fortification right in the middle of Fiji – this area dates back hundreds of years and knowledgeable guides provide commentary on the rich history of pre colonial Fiji. On this tour you also visit spectacular look outs. See why the Sigatoka region is referred to as Fiji’s “salad bowl” – visit the Sigatoka Agricultural Research Station and also local villages. There is a shopping stop on the way back in Sigatoka – the produce market is an amazing site. This is a half day tour and prices range from F$78.00 per person. The Navua River – Luva Kayak This is a must do day tour! Travel down to Pacific Harbour and from here you will be transported into Fiji’s interior – see local untouched villages and meet the very friendly locals. The kayaking trip commences mid morning and paddle down river taking in the ‘fun” rapids. Lunch is served mid stream in a crystal clear lagoon setting. After lunch continue to kayak down stream further taking in the pristine environment. The kayaking finishes in the mid afternoon and the remainder of the river trip is by motorized “long boat” back towards Pacific Harbour. The day tour finishes with a scenic drive back to the property taking in the Coral Coast scenery at its best. This is a full day tour and prices range from F$235.00 per person. Suva Full Day Tour Visit Fiji’s capital city Suva and see Fiji’s famous Parliament House, the botanical gardens, Albert Park and also the Museum of Fiji. Take in some of Fiji’s best shopping and also see why Suva is famous for its restaurants. This is a full day tour and prices range from F$49.00 per person Nausori Highlands Trek This exciting one day trek takes you to upper reaches of the Nausori highlands where you will visit a traditional Fijian village and enjoy local luncheon delicacies. The views from here are just amazing and you will also enjoy a sense of true Fijian culture. This is a full day tour and prices range from F$78.00 per person. 5 Island Cruise Spend a day cruising the magnificent Mamanuca Group of islands on board Whales Tale cruise past some of Fiji’s most famous islands such as Castaway Island, Plantation, Musket Cove and Malolo. This is a full day tour and prices range from F$169.00 per person Game Fishing Fiji is one of the world’s most exciting and largely unspoilt havens for sport fishermen. Some of the biggest game fish in the world are caught here. High powered boats are available for charter as are the smaller fishing boats. A full Day Charter prices range from F$1,200.00 per full day, ¾ day would range F$900.00. The maximum number of passengers is 6. Kula Eco Park Just a 10 minutes comfortable walk from the reception area of the outrigger Reef Fiji and you will be at Kula Eco Park. This is one of the South Pacific’s finest animal parks and you will come face to face with the rare and endangered Fijian banded iguana plus numerous other native birds and animals. Kula is well worth a visit and the natural settings and surrounds make it an ideal place to spend a couple of hours. As Kula is on our door step we suggest spending around two hours to take it all in. Prices range from F$20.00 per person. Jet Fiji Travel up the scenic Queens Road to Denarau Marina where the Jet Fiji offers the world’s most exciting jet boat rides. The year round warm weather makes Fiji the perfect place to jet boat.
