BRIDGE COTTAGE (Rated AAA 4 star) Bridge Cottage - Richmond Tasmania was built in 1823 of convict made bricks, the same year as the historic Richmond Bridge which is the oldest bridge in Australia. One of the first cottages to be built in Richmond Bridge Cottage stands facing the Bridge COMFORTABLE AND COSY AND YOURS TO ENJOY. The accommodation consists of a sitting room with lovely open fire with bedroom off the sitting room. A country style kitchen opens onto a sunny living/dining area. French doors lead out to a garden courtyard. The cottage has its own laundry facilities. Once inside the cottage the peace of yesteryear enfolds you as you step back in time. RELAX by the OPEN FIRE after a day of exploring the Village and ENJOY your complimentary PORT AND CHOCOLATES. Located metres from the Bridge, coffee shops, lolly shop, bakery, antique & gift shops, the Richmond Alms Hotel, the old Richmond Gaol and other historic buildings. Walk across the Village Green and feed the ducks. Wander across the Bridge and enjoy the waterfront or take a trip through the streets of Richmond in a horse and cart pulled by Draught Horses -a lovely way to see the sights. Richmond is a small Georgian Village with easy access to Hobart Airport and also Hobart City. Welcome to our friendly village and enjoy your visit. |

| Getting There |
From Hobart Airport drive to Cambridge and take the turnoff to Richmond. When in Richmond continue along Bridge Street which is the main street until you get to No. 47 which is Bridge Cottage - located on the left hand side of the street and just before you turn right to go over the bridge. From Hobart City Centre go across the Tasman Bridge and follow the freeway to Cambridge. At Cambridge turn left as indicated and follow this road to Richmond. |
