The accommodation has been designed to achieve the integration of the natural landscape with the living area. There are large amounts of glass and louvres that allow the cool sea breezes to ventilate the rooms. Ceiling fans, ensuite bathrooms and a large deck area are features that make the simple designs a pleasure to stay in and just a few steps from the ocean. Each bure is divided into 2 separate accommodation areas with its own large bathroom. The room is tastefully furnished with a king size bed (or 2 king singles), mosquito net for that tropical feel, a coffee table and large comfortable floor cushions. All rooms are screened. The large deck and vast expanses of glass gives each room breathtaking views of the beach and rainforest, even from the toilet! The resort has been planned as an eco-resort. The principles being to make as little impact as possible during construction; implement the best sustainable operating practices and integration with the local Fijian villagers. Nadi International Airport is a pleasant two hour drive, passing through sugar farms, Sigatoka Town on the river and Fijian villages along the spectacular Coral Coast where the highway hugs the coastline revealing picturesque bays and reefs. Suva the main business centre and capital, is an hour drive to the east from Matanivusi. |

Just 2 hours from Nadi International Airport, turn off the highway at the turnoff to Vunaniu Village, Serua on the Coral Coast. Follow the signs and the tree lined country road which hugs the ocean and descends to the beach and your hidden paradise. Taxi, hire car, or even bus. Or our transfer representative can meet you at the airport ($FJ300 for return transfer for van Maximum 6 people) - please email us to know if you would like us to arrange a transfer for you. |

Rest, relax, recover. Do as little as you wish, or as much as you can take. Matanivusi specializes in surfing. Enjoy the uncrowded waves on 3 right handers only a short boat trip form the resort, or 2 other lefts – one being the world class Frigate Passage. For those who don’t want to surf, perhaps a swim or a snorkel in the lagoon, a kayak, beachcombing, a massage or just lazing around the pool and spa would suit you.
