Kaimanga Lodge Luxury homestay accommodation, offers a beautiful, and eco-friendly, place to stay during your visit to the wonderful Bay of Islands region of Northland, New Zealand. Benefiting from Northlands' mild weather climate, Kaimanga Lodge Bay of Islands Accommodation is located on six acres of sub tropical exotic and native trees and shrubs. Overlooking a spring-fed picturesque lake which is home to a wide range of native bird life, this tranquil and secluded location is just 5 mins from Kerikeri in the heart of the Bay of Islands, Northland. Our accommodation comprises a self contained cottage with its own lounge and kitchen, plus a private guest suite in the main house, complete with its own luxury spa-bath. We actively encourage responsibility for the environment by using eco-friendly products and techniques wherever possible. Our on-going program of planting native NZ trees, and encouraging a wide range of birds and insects is a central part of the Lodge grounds management. We welcome our guests who are encouraged to share our little piece of "Green Heaven", and to enjoy NZ nature at its finest. Visit the local Kauri forests to see magnificent ancient trees, then come and see our baby Kauri's, planted for future generations to enjoy. Listen to our Kiwi birds as you sit on your private deck, feed our rescued ducks and chickens. You really have found a mini paradise. Enjoy the peace and quiet of our beautiful tropical swimming pool which offers secluded bathing and relaxation. Set away from the main house for total privacy, the pool, surrounded by fabulous tropical plants, palms, and shrubs, is a great place to relax. If you have children and/or pets please do contact us to see if we can accommodate. We have 1 single and 1 double luxury blow up mattress and plenty of bedding and there is plenty of room for tents too. Our Bed and Breakfast accommodation is designed for couples who want privacy and quiet relaxation. Each of our guest suites has one queen sized bed. If you have children, please contact us to discuss what we can provide. The Lake View Suite and Fan Tail Cottage are non-smoking. Laundry and tumble-drying facilities are available in the lodge, guests can use these as required. All our B&B accommodation is private and secluded, but if you would like to spend a while with us, maybe chatting about the wonderful things you have seen in the area, you are most welcome to join us at the end of your day. | Getting There |
From Auckland, drive to Whangerei then travel North on S-H 1. After quite a way (45 mins), turn right onto S-H 10 signed towards Doubtless Bay and the Bay of Islands. Stay on S-H 10 and when you see the Kerikeri sign you will soon after come to a roundabout. At the Kerikeri roundabout stay on S-H 10 and keep heading North toward Kaitia, Kerikeri town is to the right. Drive past Redwoods nursery on your right, the road bears slightly left and starts descending. Drive past the 'Farm Hostel' on right (green sign), start indicating left, we are opposite Blue Gum Lane. There are 2 driveways close together with open wooden railings. We are down the second driveway. You will see our Maroon mailbox with Kaimanga Lodge and Pavey on it. We are at the end of the driveway, so drive past the plant nurseries, and at the bottom follow the drive right, you will then see our house and we will be waiting for you. There is a good bus/coach service from Auckland which has a drop off point in Kerikeri, we will pick you up for there. You can also fly from Auckland directly to Kerikeri, the flight is less than 40 minutes. Again we will pick you up for there. |
| Parking |
There is ample private parking outside Fantail Cottage and parking is available directly outside Lake View Suite. We are very secure and situated down a private drive 400 meters from the main road. |

Conveniently located just off State Highway 10, Kaimanga Lodge Bed & Breakfast is your ideal base for visiting the historic town of Kerikeri just seven minutes away – a charming escape from the busy tourist centers. There are a huge range of activities for visitors to the Northland region, so many, in such a beautiful area, you will want to return to discover more. We will be very happy to suggest tours, and arrange excursions in advance for you, so that all you need to do is relax and enjoy.
