Quality 4 Star AAA rated accommodation, Riverview Gardens Bed & Breakfast, where we provide comfortable well appointed rooms, warm and friendly service, and great breakfasts in a restful homely atmosphere. Riverview Gardens Bed & Breakfast is a traditional home-stay B&B in an Edwardian style cottage. We are members of Bed & Breakfast and Farmstay NSW & ACT, Newcastle Tourism and Newcastle Bed & Breakfast Group. We have always had very positive feed back from all our guests. Many comment on the comfortable beds, great showers, and all have enjoyed their breakfasts. We have a guest lounge with tv, DVD and video player. There is also a large leafy deck on which to sit and enjoy the famous north-easterly breezes. The house has reverse cycle, ducted air conditioning, for those rare times when we do not get the cooling breeze. Our establishment is situated overlooking parklands and the busy harbour and Hunter River. Stockton has a variety of quality eateries offering meals for lunch or dinner, as well as many other commercial services. Stockton is famous for its wonderful clean surfing beach which also has a life saver patrolled section. Walking along the beach picking up shells, you will always see fishermen, board riders & wind sailing. A little further to the north are the famous Stockton sand dunes where many movies have been made. |

Our establishment is situated in an ideal position for anyone having a need to arrange accommodation for guests or delegates visiting Newcastle, Kooragang Island, Williamtown RAAF and Newcastle Airport and requiring somewhere comfortable to stay. Stockton is a very quiet, country feeling suburb, 5 minutes from Kooragang. If anyone has a wish or need to visit Newcastle (great area to stay for those going to conferences in Newcastle), just a 3 minute passenger ferry ride costing $2.20takes you to Queens Wharf; no parking worries, no parking meters. Queens Wharf is close to Newcastle train station and all bus and coach services. If needed, a taxi rank is situated at Queens Wharf. |

| Getting There |
We have a free pick up service from Stockton ferry wharf for those arriving by train or coach. If driving, we are about 3.5km south of the intersection of Nelson Bay Road and Fullerton Street. From Sydney, the fastest route is to go to the end of the F3, turn right at the round-a-bout and follow the road to Newcastle for about 13km. Turn left onto Industrial Drive at Mayfield West. At third set of traffic lights turn left into Tourle Street and follow the road until after you cross the Stockton Bridge, then at the bottom of the bridge turn right at the round-a-bout. You are now in Fullerton Street. Travelling from the north, turn left into Medowie Road at the Medowie Road Rest Stop. Follow the road through, about 17.5km until you pass the Williamtown RAAF Base. Turn right at the round-a-bout and after about 13km take the left turn at the round-a-bout into Stockton. |

There is plenty of safe, free, on-street parking. We have a garage for motor cycles, push bikes and boats to be stored securely. |
| Things To Do |
Stockton has beautiful scenery, paved shared walking and cycle ways and breakwall where you can watch the harbour activity where there is always something happening. In January you can join in the "Harbour Swim" from Stockton to Newcastle. We are close to Wetlands, Botanical Gardens, Wildlife parks, Sand Dune tours and Dolphin and Whale watches, Harbour cruises and activities, Vineyard & Wine tours and beautiful country drives. We will arrange tours for you if needed. Newcastle has many live and movie theatres. |
