Mount Maunganui is your El Dorado if the beach is your passion, the pristine sands have long been a Mecca for holidaymakers. As a main centre for summertime activities, 'The Mount' hosts everything from surf lifesaving events to beach volleyball, parasailing, sandcastle building and surfing contests. Surf lifesaving guards assist safe swimming in the beautiful Pacific Ocean. There are many more activities the Mount and Tauranga have to offer. Located in Mount Maunganui, the seaside resort town of the city of Tauranga. Tauranga City is one of the fastest growing in New Zealand with people attracted by the beautiful beaches and mild climate. Mount Maunganui is unique in that it is a narrow isthmus boasting two beaches, a world renowned surf beach and only a few minutes walk away the safe harbour beach known as Pilot Bay. Quest Mount Maunganui is a new property, which can be found on Maunganui Road, the main road in to the town. It is a short distance away from the town centre avoiding the noise and traffic, yet close enough to easily access the beaches and the many other activities. It is also very well situated for business travellers visiting the many businesses that support the port of Tauranga and local industry. The head office of Zespri International is virtually next door for example. Many of the large shipping companies are represented at the Mount as are many other national and international companies. We have a large heated swimming pool, a spa pool, a well equiped gym and sauna for your use and enjoyment while staying with us. Mount Maunganui and Tauranga City have some of the finest restaurants, cafes and shopping set next to New Zealand's most amazing beaches. All in close proximity of each other so you can spend the entire day out walking from place to place while soaking up the beautiful sunny Mount weather. The mountain of Mt Maunganui, also known to the local Maori people as Mauao, is shrouded in legend and history. It's the dominant geological feature of the Tauranga District, with its conical rocky outline rising 232 metres above sea level. It has been of great importance to local Maori for more than six centuries as a place of occupation and later as a refuge for defence. Evidence of this is still visible today. The gently undulating track around the base winds from the ocean to the harbour, it is approximately a 45min walk. Tracks also lead to the summit for some of the best ocean and city views anywhere. |

| Getting There |
Most people arrive by car and finding us is easy. When arriving from Auckland and other points North, follow the expressways in to Tauranga City which then lead you directly to Mount Maunganui via the harbour bridge. Once over the bridge, continue straight ahead but remain in the left hand lane. Continue for approx 2 kms then take the left lane BESIDE the fly-over. Do not go over the fly-over. Continue to cross the railway crossing then turn left. You are now on Maunganui Road. Continue towards the "Mount", which you will see ahead, for approx. 1.5 kms. QUEST Mount Maunganui will be on the left just after passing a sports park. When arriving from the South and East, you will enter Mount Maunganui directly and will already be on Maunganui Road. Remain in the Left Hand lane. Continue straight ahead until you reach the fly-over mentioned above. The Left Hand lane will take you BESIDE the fly-over. continue straight ahead for approx. 1.5 kms. QUEST is on the left as above. When arriving at the Airport you have options. Call us for a pick you up, call a Taxi or rent a hire car. If you are driving, then find your way out of the airport then turn right. Follow the directions above. The distance is only 3.5 kms so allow 5 minutes. |

On arrival, you may park in the set down area until you have checked-in, then parking is available free of charge in our underground carpark. All one bedroom apartments are allocated 1 car park while the 2 and 3 bedroom apartments have 2 car parks. Extra car parks can be provided at a cost of $10 per day. |

For the holiday traveller, Quest Mount Maunganui is ideally located to access some of Mount Maunganui’s and Tauranga's premier attractions. Situated just out of the CBD and only a brief walk away the Mount's main shopping precinct along maunganui Road. The beach can be accessed via a short stroll directly across the road and via a walkway. It takes only a few minutes. The apartments at Quest Mount Maunganui maintain a strong appeal with families, as they provide the convenience of facilities such as a fully equipped kitchen, private laundry and spacious lounge/dining area, offering families a ‘home away from home.’ Our large heated pool, spa pool and gym provide hours of entertainment for families with children of all ages. The pool area is nicely appointed with sun loungers, chairs, tables and sun umbrellas for you to use. There is a lot to do in the Bay of Plenty. There are all sorts of tourist activities, restaurants, bars and shops as well as walks, the beach and the surrounding towns of Te Puke and Katikati which have there own attractions. Here at QUEST we can provide an extensive list of things to do, but here are a highlights. Flight Experience - Hands on Boeing 737 jet simulator. Classic Flyers aviation museum.
