Situated in a delightfull garden setting well back from thr road, Ashburton's Regency Motel offers quiet quality accommodation at an affordable price. "Experience the Difference" and whether your stay is in a standard or superior unit, you will be accorded the very best in hospitality by the resident owners Brian and karen broker. The establishment holds a Qualmark 4 star rating and offers a wide choice of room type; studio, executive studio spa, 1 bedroom spa appartment, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom units and access units. All units have standard features that others call "extras" such as plunger coffee, CD player, foil, gladwrap, paper towels, complimentary mints and biscuits for example. In addition to that DVD players and Playstations are available for in-room use at no additional charge. We also offer an extensive in-room evening menu and our breakfast menu offers considerable choice. Couple this with all units being ground floor with parking at the door, a dedicated kids play area with quality equipment, a solar heated outdoor swimming pool, a secluded BBQ area.We also have six sky channels of which 2 are sport and one disney for the children. you are able to enjoy the extensive facilities that are second to none in Ashburton. To best cater for your needs we offer both standard and superior accommodation. Our standard units are actually much better than that and offer an excellent standard of accommodation. All our standard features (that others call extras) are found in these units. The fact is they are very comfortable and well appointed however our superior units are just that - superior! Being either near new and double glazed or refurbished to a very high level only a yesr or so ago, they do represent exceptional value for money. So they are superior both in the standard of accommodation offered and to our standard units. Thats why we have the two tiers of accommodation which gives you real choice. Ashburton is a town on the move with substantial recent retail investment by the major players. They obviously know something! Couple this with the development of the man made lake called Lake Hood (and the residential sbdivision incorporated), the superb fishing the region offers and the fact we are only 25mins to Mount Hutt and 50 mins to Christchurch airport, many people are just starting to discover all the benefits that a stay in Ashburton can offer. | Getting There |
Coming from the north (Christchurch end)immediately on the town boundary there is a major turn off from SH1 on to East Street. This is well lit and signposted "Town Centre" and "Motels". once you have taken this corner you will vear right and we are the first motel on the left. Approaching from the South (Timaru or the Lakes end)once well through Ashburton on SH1 you will see signage to guide you to motels. You will turn right at this roundabout (Wallnutt Ave), over the railway line then left. You will then be on East Street and we are the last motel on the right. |
| Parking |
One of the real bonuses we offer is our easy access/egress, all units are ground floor with parking at the unit door. The motel units are located well off the street so your vehicle is also. There is plenty of room for the trailer or the boat, even a bus! |
| Things To Do |
Lake Hood offers a wide range of water sports and activities. We are recognised as one of the fishing regions of New Zealand offering both Lakes and rivers, lure and fly. Methven is 20mins away with Mount Hutt 10mins from there. In addition there are plenty of tracks and trails for the mountain bike enthusiast and the walker and did I mention our gardens? There are plenty of splendid options to view here. And of course there is our museum and transport, train and plane exhibitions. Ashburton is becoming a popular first night or last night stay for fly/drive tourists who want to escape the hussle and bussle of Christchurch. We are a comfortable 50mins from Christchurch airport. Those not in a hurry prefer to take the inland scenic route through the Rakaia Gorge. The scenery is stunning. |
