Bowen is a town known as the "Climate Capital of Australia" as it has a constant temperature all year round. Your hosts Kriss and Leanne are pleased to be able to provide you with a laid back, old fashioned style holiday - with the best of service. The park has absolute beachfront views overlooking Queens Bay with the 10 luxurious villas and 8 powered sites among others having unsurpassed views. It is the best in Bowen!! Bowen is located on the Whitsunday Coast, 40 minutes drive north of Airlie Beach. The town is almost completely surrounded by the magnificent azure of the Whitsunday waterways. Eight magnificent sandy beaches are a major attraction with snorkelling, fishing and sailing accessible off the many palm fringed beaches - the waterways are waiting to be discovered. The park is popular with travellers not only because of the ideal location but also because of the excellent amenities that exist, recently added to the park is a 22m swimming lagoon,so while the kids are having fun Mum and Dad can sit back and relax. Within close proximity to the park are Restaurants, walking tracks, golf course and every Sunday (Apr-Nov)in Hansen Park (right next door) are the Lions Markets. Bowen is located on the Whitsunday Coast 40 minutes drive north of Airlie Beach and is the main township positioned on the coast approximately 160km north of Mackay and 200km south of Townsville. On your approach into Bowen follow the signs to the beach resorts, turn right at Woolworths into The Soldiers Road and follow to the beachend. |

Fishing For the angler you can fish for Spanish and Spotted Mackerel and Tuna that usually school a few kilometers off the mouth of the Don River during winter and trolling around the schools is often productive. Fishing the close reefs to Bowen foreshore may produce a variety of reef fish. Diving and snorkeling at Horseshoe Bay, Grays Bay, Murray Bay and Rose Bay and Middle Island. Coral Coast Caravan Park is conveniently close to the golf course, bowls and squash courts for the sport enthusiast. The park is also on the local bus route. The temperature in Bowen remains fairly constant year-round and it is possible to swim during the winter months. The hottest months are between November and March. The coldest is June. Bowen is also one of Queensland's premier event destinations, with an exciting annual line up of sporting, aquatic, historical and cultural events.
